Googling a texture should be mentioned, i know they're going to say copy rights and stuff, but it still should be mentioned.

Okay guys, so we had a player's choice in the last contest. Everyone used their mults to vote and everyone complained because it was not a fair voting.

Hoping to make everyone happy, we had developers choice this time. They made their choice and you still complain because you feel it's not right to have those winners.

Starting from the fact that everyone has different tastes, the winners were choosen with a votation between all the entries and this is the result. No cheating, no double accounts, no nothing. It went like this, end of the history.

 

Unfortunately, as far as you all do not accept that your entry is not the best at all, those complaints will never end, but we won't listen to you anyways, because as we said it's a matter of tastes. And the developers have those tastes.

Excuse me Supernick, I never knew it was illegal to google your paint texture? That wasn't written in the rules?

It wasn't illegal. The guy still got a prize. But it didn't get 1st place because the Devs decided a googled texture doesn't deserve so much.

The pictures:

- Should be uploaded to tinypic.com [violated]

- Should be JPG format [violated]

 

How to publish an entry:

- Post the original picture of your paint [violated]

- Post a picture of how it looks on a tank by TankViewer

 

As the winner said, the hosting isn't so important, neither the format is. If it was, the Devs wouldn't select him.

As for the entry, what is wrong? He posted how it looked on the tank and the texture. The fact both are in the same picture just show professionalism. And that's what exactly the Devs liked and that's why JVD won. Some of you may not know, but he is the creator of the Chat Admins' paint - Flame.

 

The fact he is a Russian Reporter - and what? Staff are allowed to join contests, no matter what the others think. They are still players and have all the player rights.

 

In conclusion, I want to say, guys, don't be so jelly. There will be many more contests where you all will have the chance to win. For now, you can just congratulate the winners, stop complaining, since it's pointless anyway - nothing will change and then get something to eat/drink. Peace.

Agreed, it's always the case with contests, just treat it as opinions, the fact is you made it fair this time and went developers choice, and i sure do hope contests stay that way.
