Update 161 — Rank limits have been extended!

I just came back from battling and I must say, this update sucks.

 

I like playing with experienced players, and I don't like it when a very low ranked player who doesn't do anything but go for Crystals and get killed joins our team just because we're winning. The he anchors us down and we lose. In TDM, this is even worse due to the fact that they just go out in the open and die multiple times and don't care about the team. They just go for the Crystal boxes. In CTF, they don't care about the flag- just kills and crystal boxes. In my view all this helps is DM unless you're a person looking for a challenge and a rival in a DM match. Sure you can ./vote or team-kick, but of all the battles I've been in people either don't know how, or just don't team-kick even when everyone loathes that specific person.

Just 2 hours ago I played in blue team, we were tied with the red team (2-2 in flags 20 minutes to end), then 3 of our players with at least m2/m1 tanks left the battle. In just 3-4 seconds, spectacular reinforcement came! (Sarcasm) Three guys with Warrant Officers 1 ranks, all (of course) with m0 Wasp, two had m0 Isidas, 1 with m0 Firebird, and all hanging on the edge of higher side (by the ramp which leads to top of blue team base) doing nothing, I am sorry, I am wrong. They were pushing each others trying to make space for themselves to hunt for crystals! Of course, when I asked rest of the team to "kick them out" nobody knew what in the world I was talking about because probably most of those guys were Russian. We held about 5 minutes more, using supplies to defend flag but nothing could save us. All drugged mammoth (although I use m2 Mammoth myself) were too much. We were 3 man short! Not even one of those noobs showed interest to help. What is the point of that?

If you see young players like this not trying to help the team, take a screen video. Send it to Semyon or Flipsquad and they'll take care of it. You don't need to do nothing yourselves and cry here. Just take action against these idiots!

There's absolutely no way to communicate. I can honestly say that if we could at least communicate with our own teammates then that would be much better. I can support the team better and probably give some tips out to the Newbies- maybe tell a Freeze that the best way for him to be useful would be to camp next to our flag if someone starts Drugging, or telling a Shaft how to scope, etc. It's kind of awkward having 90% Russians in the English Servers. . .

this is a very bad bad update , now u can find only mults with m0 gear ofcource they dont drug die at first shot of thunder and make the battles not worth playing they join high rank battles only because of the higher crystal drop, Semyon this must be changed !!, all the dynamics of the game are screwed up , u cant kick them because u have 40% noobs in your team so they dont vote or dont know how to ,u have to be on your drugs 24/7 to compensate the weak teamates and for what for mults ? no thank u !! if i want to play with lower ranks i use my noob acc but i have there two m1 combos and i dont mult

so what should i do post it in complaints ? report them for multing ive would flood the thread if i have to do that , really it sickens me to play now since this horrid update :( imho this is a epic fail

The rank limits weren't changed this much to affect the gameplay so drastically. There are unexperienced players on every rank. This update is essential for future development of the game.

First, with friends system you will be able to play with more friends on one map. So cooperation and working as a team will compensate for the thing you mentioned.

Secondly, with micro-upgrades there won't be such a strong difference between different modifications of weapons, the gameplay will become more flexible.

All in all, I strongly believe it's a positive change. Nobody forces you to go into battles with such a rank limit. We give you the choice of battles and you can always create your own with any rank limits you'd like to have.

I've never wrote anything on forums but this update is HORIBLE that i have to. People with low ranks join battle they cant kill anyone they not even trying busy picking crystals makes game impossible unbalanced. It was hard to find good game because of drugers and now its going to be even more harder because of people with low gear who think they can kill some one and join higher ranks games. Please please please change it back the game is now no balanced.

Semyon,I actually understand..the game was excellent balanced (with ranks) before..now our choice is (and I am talking especially for ranks:major,lieutenant colonel and colonel..our limits are stretched most..and what is our choice Semyon?..lowranked mults,or guys with m3/m3 equipment..our ranks are just cursed that way,so close to first stuff on m3,but too low rank..so those who are just a rank or two above us,will eat us alive (better equipment)..and if we chose maps with max range to stated ranks,we are going to meet plenty of mults..please try to understand us :)

You see Semyon there are more people who complain about this not just in the english community but in the russian forum as well as i am sure you observed already, and people who posted are just a small drop in the ocean .

Grobartenkova pointed out our ranks are hurt the moust due to the highest gap difference . You say there are unexperienced players at every ranks true this, but at least i get m2/m3 gear in my similar ranks and they will figure the turret turning later no doubt about it and we all can live with that, better then all m0's.Even if they drug and are well intentioned the poor m0 souls don't acomplish anything.There are many high rank players who have lower rank acc's there was no need to strech this in this manner .

I find unacceptable to have my team filled with WO2 with wasp m0 only multing and having 40+ deaths and 2 kils You say cooperation and working as a team will cut it but i say you can't be a one man army in the battle, because there is no team when the focus is elsewere due to the large gap in ranks and gear involved .When you play with your on team/clan, different mater alltogether all hail the future friends system which will improve this, but this is another matter and must not be mixed in the same pot as the 161 update.

I am not forced to go in battles with such rank limits but i have a different option if i want to play a specific map ? No i do not ! If i create a battle the lower limit for my rank is WO2 , i consolate myself with the fact that i will rank up tomorrow to Brigadier and the rank interval is a bit tighter

Probably it is important for the future developement of the game as you pointed out i will not split the hair in 4 for now ( i understand perfect what it means ;) ), but maybe i will make a SWOT analysis in the future for the debate of this update.

I think a bit of constructive criticism is needed in this case and i appreciate the fact that u take under consideration our opinions and alsow appreciate your assertive answers

Just use team kick. It's an easy solution and if your teammates agree that this player should not be in the team, they will kick him as well and he'll be removed.I don't think it's a dumb idea, and neither should you. The person who imagined this would be a good update cared about the players so that they could bring lower-ranked friends and have some fun. If you have a mult, kick him, vote him, and take a video. If you have a low-ranked player, all you can really do is kick him. Either of the two options probably won't do anything, but it's worth a try. Don't say it a "horrible update" if you can't back it up

I agree with you. No matter how hard a group of M0-M1, they won't have an easy time dominating M2-M3. And the Noobs who join just waste the spots. . . . It's a nightmare without Drugs. I'm glad I got another batch of Drugs from dailies, but how long will it last? :mellow:

I understand the pain . . .it sucks when those Noobs arrive and your team already has enough noobs. Then you can't Team-kick or ./vote because ./Vote doesn't do anything and Team-kick doesn't happen because like someone else said about, 40-60% of your team are already noobs which don't team-kick. Let the Noobs verse their own kind, and let the Pros rival their own kind. And yes, this topic was to discuss our opinions on it, right? So it is good that we're posting our opinions here, hollow reasons/views or not, they can all be replied to and changed. I agree with ya, and I don't think WO1 can battle with Generalissimo yet. . . or before this update that is. -_-

THIS is not a good IDEA.

OK it is a good Idea for a kid playground where friends want to play with each other,

but for a battlefield it is definitely not a good Idea if you want to win and to play far with

equivalent teams.

Generalissimos have always been able to play with WO5, so the same situation M1 against M3. The situation hasn't changed that much, that's what I want to say.

Guys stop arguing about you will be dead when playing with very high ranks. This has many solutions. One of it is to choose the battle with the rank limit you want. Also deal with it. On my other account from 1-2 years ago A private could've played with a Marshal and marshal was the last rank in that time. Also some low ranks are experienced like meh. Because on that time when I was private I killed a marshal he only had 1% health. BUT I STILL BELIEVE LOW RANKS CAN KILL GENERALLISSIMOS. Atleast it makes some sense in this post right? :)

I think this is not a good idea, maps that I like to play on a few servers are now much more difficult for me as a smaller rank, for the simple reason that my tank was destroyed in the first the shot even though I have all elevated to the level of M1 plus paint. Think what you have gone in too wide a range of ranks on the maps, sometimes it is impossible to play with a high ranks

With the battle filters which will come in future, you'll probably be able to sort battles by ranks and see battles only available for the ranks you've chosen ;) Just wait
