pls dont comment about change ur computer

get a better PC.

Turn all your settings off. The game will run on low quality but your FPS will be over 30. Oh, and yes, if your comp is slow, don't play in Gallery and Crash, I recommend you to NOT play in big maps. Try to play in Island.

Hey,

It lags for me aswell; and I've done everything trying to solve it.

I can't predict Railguns anymore, because I lag to much to see their tip; lighting up.

And Sometimes; I drive over drops too because of this same lag.

The lag was gone for 2 days or so; but it's back... and worse.

Sorry consultants, but I just couldn't find the answer in the FAQ topics,

and my comment got lost, probably because of the activeness in the questions and answers thread.

I'll describe the lag; it's some sort of sudden lag.

The frame rate shoots up from 20 to 100 according to the FPS rate shown in the lower right of the screen.

It happens around 3 times a minute, lags occure from 1 to 2 seconds. Yes it's short; but the whole action keeps going in those important seconds.

So I'm asking it here, again; I would like to know if this is on tanki's end, or not?

~cheers.

I'm using a laptop with a sandybridge i7 and integrated graphics (HD 4000).

If I turn off all the dynamic shadowing, I get 60-100 fps, if I leave it on, I get around 40.

So no, you don't need an Alienware to get good performance :).

I usually play at 10-20 FPS. Strangely, I experience very little lag, and the gameplay is smooth. The dust effect automatically activates sometimes, even with the low FPS, and it doesn't affect the smoothness.

I have the same problem when my bad laptop overheats. The screen freezes, and the FPS shoots up to above 100, even though nothing's happening. The strange thing is, I can see the kills and take part in the battle chat, but the game is frozen with 100 FPS. Luckily I have access to two laptops, the other of which is actually decent and so doesn't have this problem as much ^_^ Still, the 100 FPS thing has happened on the decent one as well when loading a battle in a big map/one with lots of props (I can't play Iran at all).

I have 50-60, but that's with everything turned off except battle-chat, mip-mapping and skybox -_-

I don't understand because I have a decent PC

If it's not your PC, it's your internet connection.

I have a bad PC; but a great internet connection.

Though lags are worse than before.

Thanks for mentioning Goldrock; I've just touched the PC base to see if it was hot.

It's not that hot, and the fan is not noisy. So it shouldn't be clogged with dust.

I think I ruled that out aswell.

I don't think this is Tanki's fault; some of you guys have smooth gameplay.

Yes that can let it down a lot. If you have fast internet and crappy computer the computer will let the internet down because the software may not be up to date.

My laptop is 8 years old (lucky me it works) its 2.20 GHz, Pentium Dual Core (old right?) So I turn off the dynamic shadows and everything and get about 30-60 FPS(decent for me) So I dont really have a problem

I have a terrible computer, I really dunno what's wrong with it :( get about 10-30fps most of the time and lag really badly on maps such as Iran and sometimes Silence!)

You need a cpu of 2ghz or greater you need to bring your ram up to 2gb or better. The best situation is 2.2 or better and 4 gb of ram. Hopefully your graphic card spec's out.Yes the internet connection plays a part also. A new computer on the low $ end will have way better spec's if your going to purchase one. Most of your low end computer have a 2.8ghz cpu, 4gb of ram and and a graphics card that would meet the demand for tanki. I forgot switch from letting windows chose whats best for your computer to adjust for best performance. Under advance system settings. Then system properties. Then advanced. Then where you see performance click on settings. Then you will visual effects. select adjust for best performance. By deselecting let windows chose whats best for your computer basically your getting rid of all the fancy graphics.
