How's the LOA alteration DPS-wise?

Am I getting more DPS because of the reload? Does the higher reload make up for the decreased damage?

I can see the buff difference of thunder. Having 50% protection against thunder doesn't feel 50% anymore.

That's not the case right now, once you reach higher level 90% of the players you encounter will have a Thunder module with atleast 30% protection. Trying to face them 1 on 1 is suicide, you're better off playing a support role or camping.

Why do they use protection? because otherwise they'd get one shotted. That's why I kinda said that you use it and you win, with the high damage and fast reload, you could annihilate everything, thus winning automatically

Yes If you have 2/3 Averaage guys with Thunder on your team you can win easily

But don't hope to get anywhere with one Thunder and enemy team full with protection's

I just noticed that lack of protection. I always use rail and thunder (protections) since either turret can one shot you usually without protection. 

 

Were there any other thunders on your team? If not, that is probably why.

Yeah it was insane, but aiming with Thunder is very easy if you're coming from Striker.

I instantly stopped using that turret a week ago.. thought it would've been forgiving to let it sit for a couple of weeks but I was so bad at Striker again that I left it there.. no way I am going to learn the stupid mechanics all over again.

 

Man Thunder is just great. I was indeed very lucky to find myself between a lot of enemies who were not using Thunder protection at all lol. Developers based Thunder's buff on the massive amounts of protection modules. Which makes protection modules even more valuable.. I see where this is going; opens up a whole new market for them.

 

This thing was my first M3 ever, it was also the first to M4 when microupgrades were introduced. I haven't really payed attention to Thunder for a long time because it was extremely underpowered by all the 50%'s.. it's not that good in this situation now but it's quite a privilege having a turret that's still very capable... when the enemy uses 50% against you!

Due to MM the Thunder protection has been decreased , i blame it on MM & the Freeze buff  -_-

While the Rico,Smoky Protections has been gone up 

The Buff made Thunder even more OP , but no one care's to complain 

If you can find 2/3 Thunder's on a team it's easy for them to win just raining lead , IMAO Fagnum is Outclassed by THnuder now

At higher ranks 60-80% of the people you encounter will have high protection against Thunder. Which is why I consider it the least effective turret in the end game.

Since the buff and thanks for the buff of other turrets, there are less protections now. I have begun using my m4 again. Just got a triple kill in two different battles last night. In the last few days I have had no more than 3 enemies sporting thunder protection. It is a lot of fun to use with the expanded splash damage.

Smoky 2.0. More damage, area damage, more impact force, longer range, still looks ugly but not as smoky
