Op with hornet you can get a lot of kills as long as you stay far away from your enemies

But when the damage variation gives u really low damage and the enemy spots u ,its r.i.p??

Augment for Railgun «Large caliber rounds»:

  • Reload time increase removed.

High damage with "gold old times" reload is back ??

Heyy, can you guys give me an opinion about alterations Round Destabilization and Large caliber rounds? Like, which one would you choose and why? I'm asking because I have them both, and can't really decide which one to use because with round destabilization I feel like I deal more damage though I'm more successful in killing enemies, maybe I just have lucky RNG. On the other side, Large Caliber deals constant damage but I feel like it is weak. I play my railgun mostly with Hornet. Thanks!

I have a similar question too: with the current state of Tanki, if I could only buy one of railgun's alterations, which one would you recommend me to get?

Note: I play as a dictator, and I prefer team battles, mostly CTF and CP. I stay away from DMs. Thanks in advance!

u play with dictator .so i would suggest scout because u cant take enough cover to effectively use LCR .with scout u can play either team matches or dm doesn't even matter as it is an all -rounding augment

If your playstyle consists of less activity and mainly camping, then I would suggest Large-Caliber Rounds. If you have a more activity-based playstyle, I would strongly recommend Scout.

Yes. If you have no other alteration of railgun, equip stable rounds always. The penetration power is a great advantage in low ranks

but it's damage is constant means minimal and average are almost the same

i.e your railgun deals 600hp minimal and 1k average so the alt make it in a fixed value like 760

i own the alt BTW and i wish i have both distable or emp scout alt

If I understood you correctly, you mean that the average damage reduces. That is not correct.

If you railgun deals 1k average damage without alteration, the gun will deal constant damage of 1k with stable rounds, not 760.

So there is no disadvantage of using the alteration.

Worst thing about encountering a scout user is that they will rag doll your tank especially if you're using Viking.

It's nuts it gets to keep the full stock impact when it can fire so quickly.

Not really an option if you're a splash turret user.

Randomly decided to get rail mk7 on my marshal, and try to do some of those missions (Which I can't finish unless I waste the entire day tomorrow, oh well).

Since I already had scout, it's been pretty easy to rack up kills, unless there were 6/8 mk7 falcons in the enemy team ? Even with all the meta switches rail still remains very powerful...

Scout was buffed in April and had one of its weaknesses compared to Stock partially removed. It's more annoying than LCR for me now.

I was actually thinking if I should save for LCR, since I still mostly use viking there, but I am tempted to try using hornet, even if lower MK, just for the complete armor pierce...

Which is the best augment for Railgun for MM and Pro?

For MM, LCR/Destabilization or scout.

LCR/destabilization for a more laid back peekaboo play style.

LCR can consistently one shot medium hulls with DD.  But it has a noticeable increase in reload time.

Destabilization has a chance of one shoting heavy hulls but sometimes can't even one shot light hulls with DD. No reload increase. Has a useful impact force increase.

Scout is for a more agressive play style. If you have a highly upgraded railgun for your rank, you can even one shot light hulls with DD. High fire rate means that you can knock off the aim of enemies easily.

So depending on how you play, pick the right one for you.

PS: test in test server so that you are not disappointed with your purchase.

Hyperspace Rounds is perfect for offensive gameplay, align 2 tanks, the one hiding behind the other is the one that is going to die. Perfect tool to take down the Juggernaut, align the juggernaut on the third position and shot hit with great deal of damage. Can easily take down isida train, or clean Control Point or any gathering of enemy tanks.

Large caliber rounds is for experienced player, if you can hit a tank each time you shot then this is for you.

"Death Herald" compulsator is for maxed up turret and player good at stealing kills. Otherwise you will only hunt down light hull. Works best with Hornet OD, there you can aim at medium hulls.

The other augments are gimmicks based on chance or removing chance, or too weak.

Now that I've reached WO3 and unlocked the next modifications of Railgun, Hornet and my 3 modules, I plan on staying on this rank for a while and trying to get crystals from contests and stuff. Currently I've got enough crystals to upgrade everything to Mk4.

Should I save crystals for an Augment? They appear pretty expensive, and the chances of getting them from containers is quite low. Currently, I find the performance of my stock Railgun pretty satisfactory, but I feel I'm going to need some extra power when going against players with high Gear scores.
