You need MFS to make it versatile - too  short a range otherwise.  Of course I always play with MFS.

Have you tried Berserk or Plasma Torch? Do they appeal to you? Or are they too expensive to consider at the moment?

Berserk?  Sounds like it's really only useful on light hulls.

 

Plasma torch... now - does that kill more quickly?  If so it might be good with Hunter OD where range is not an issue.

Yes, with its alterations you can pretty much do well in any map. I'm more of a plasma torch user, because the last update it got made it much more suitable for MM.

Really? Personally, I have mfs but I rarely use it.  I prefer the higher dps, the range isn’t as useful for me.

It's useful in general. As long as you have lots of in-range enemies to shoot at.

Technically, yeah. You can ambush stationary enemies and they'll be dead by the time they can properly react. Your ammo supply runs out fast so you'd have to be wary of that. And yeah, I wouldn't buy it off-sale.

I see it used with Hunter almost exclusively.

It may seem like they have infinite ammo, but realise that they may have used almost all of their ammo on you. They still kill my M4 Titan with 40% protection, but I know that when they're finished, they most likely don't have enough energy to go up against another player with protection.

Ricco has 5600 damage "in the pipe"?  Is that what it can do now after it's last update? 

Never feels like that when I use it.  When I run into heavy hulls with that much protection I struggle - often coming out on losing end.

Always viking or hunter and yes with a drone, but I'm not sure which one or what they do.

It is frustrating when I have DA and 40% protection and yet my health goes down rapidly.

They shoot 29 projectiles before running out of ammo. That's 7250 with the average damage. 

Because the heavy has protection and probably DA, the engagement will be longer. They win if they can survive the time it takes to kill the heavy.

For me, the most frustrating thing when I come up against this turret is that impact force coupled with its firing rate.

 

The most annoying thing when using it is that it's range is too short.

I don't know what to put with ricochet. Viking's od is op for destroying the juggernaut, but its stability sucks. Dictator has the stability, but its really slow. Hunter is the middle, with a bit of stability, and speed, but I want to know if Hunter is good for battling the juggernaut.

Does JUG still have damage reduction - even when stunned?  If so, Ricco will have trouble kiling it before energy runs out.  You'd probably have to have DD on every time to be significant.

As an aside, Ricco works great with Hunter in most other cases - you can kill stunned enemies very quickly.

thanks wolverine848, i will buy hunter instead of viking in the upcoming sales. And maybe also MFS alteration?

MFS is good if you like to keep your distance some, and you like faster balls - a bit easier to hit moving targets.

I have that and Plasma Torch - which is really good up close on light & medium hulls. Klls faster.  BUT... PT has difficult time with heavys+modules as it recharges much slower.

I guess the real question is... can Ricco kill JUG on 1 tank of energy 1) with DD and 2) without DD?

Does Hunter have any effect on JUG besides the 2.2 second stun?
