Hmm yes yes

Man try to Mu it on the sale's belive me it's worth it

I have mine at m2 10/10 it is totally worth it and the more shot's is   , now you don't have to worry about running out of shot's often

Hmm

no  it's not worth the value , the rico effect is much better , the only place i would use this alt will be in Polygon CP

Forest, desert, sandbox.

You may have another acct, but I noticed you rarely play with Fire or Free...

optimus_kirk, braxton_walker, Vampire_Medic

I do use Freeze on my main, but I spent M0 through M2 ranks solely using Rico.

And you haven’t lived until you’ve played Rico-Titan on the new Sandal. So many corners

'm wondering if the alteration that makes the bullets do "splash damage" instead of "ricochet" would be worth it?

That Unstable Plasma alteration is not worth it. Losing bounce is a bad trade off for sometimes doing a tiny bit of splash damage. I bought this, used it once, and never equipped it again.

It has promise on any board with irregular walls, but the radius for the splash damage is much too small. It needs to get closer to Thunder splash in order to be worth the crystals IMO. I bought it to try to end the isida impact behind 2-3 tanks. I tried equipping it when an Isida was behind another tank and it did almost no damage to the Isida. Big disappointment.

Forest i agree

But actually On sandbox the rico effect is much useful

And also on Desert , those Walls are there for to use { only for rico user's who know how to bounce well  :rolleyes: }

Agree on Sandbox and desert...Thunder can also be very useful hitting the buildings through the cracks in Sandbox...get several multi-kills that way.

Thanks for the warning!  I'll spend my hard earned crystals elsewhere. ;)

Learn to love rico m4. It has incredible damage per minute and combined with drugs, = unstoppable

I’m getting there. After thinking it was underpowered at M3, then expecting this latest change to be a nerf....

But with the much deeper energy / shots per tank, it’s a beast now. Only problem is that many Legends still have 50% Rico protection, so you may need to swap out for something more subtle, like Hammer.

Twins, Rail, Ricochet all the way; covers 60% of the enemies.

Good call, but on tight maps, you’ll need Fire and Freeze protection either equipped or standing by. Thunder campers are a problem on medium maps too.

My personal go-to protection mix is Rico-Rail-Thunder.

I equip Thunder/Rail/Fire, then tweak with either Rico, Freeze, Magnum depending on what others are using. I just hate getting one-shotted and keeping Thunder/Rail protections keeps that from happening usually. My modules are still not at 50% however. Trying to get Hunter to m4 first.

That’s my go-to on my M2 alt accounts. I’d bought an M2 Kodiak module which got split up, messing up a plan I’d been working from WO through Captain ranks :(

guys I was chatting with someone about the distance for rico since the new changes, they said with both alterations on that they could not shoot far. well for some odd reason and not sure for others I'm finding that I can still shoot far . as you can see in this picture that the twins were by the buildings and I'm on top by the ramp. he was even a little farther back and I could still hit him. ? please explain if others are having the same or are they less hitting farther away tanks.

I'm not complaining about how far I still can shoot. but if others can't shoot this far then there could be a problem with in the system.

Before the update, with MFS alt equipped I could damage targets a lot farther away at 50% farther.

maybe we should try testing each other turrets out in a map to see who shoots farther. if we both have the same then all is good . but if one is farther then there is issues .. willing to check it out.

This second picture is telling. Yes, you can still reach some distance, but look at the numbers you’re getting - just over 100 damage per plasma ball. For Rico, that’s pretty bad, nearly impossible to kill a 3000 HP medium hull, unthinkable if said hull is wearing DA. You need to get closer for Rico to do the damage it needs.

I was playing a match today with hunter/shaft and started getting hit by a rico. I panicked....no protection was on for rico yet. By the time I ditched scope mode and started hiding, I assumed I would only have 1-2 more rico shots before I was doomed. Surprisingly I had more than half my health left. The Rico was fairly far away. So this is confirming what you (and I) am experiencing in the field. I always dread staying in scope mode for long at all...the new nerf of the shaft scoped shots punishes you for shorter snipes. It is nice to know that unless a rico is within 75-80m he won't kill me before I can get away.

So I was in a Serphuhov MM battle earlier with legends, and apparently, one of the enemy Ricochets bought the Plasma-torch alteration.

Lemme just say that if I hadn't known any better, I'd accuse the guy of using a slow no-reload hack. I mean a lot of bullets were coming out at once.

The damage decreases were visible. The speed decrease makes it look like the plasma balls were gliding smoothly through the air. From what I saw, the guy seemed to run out of ammo fast so when thinking about buying this alt, remember to will yourself not to YOLO it, this alteration seems to serve as a demoralizer instead of an attacker. Just the sheer number of bullets alone made me want to leave.

My opinion as of now:  It is balanced.

What I want to know, is where is Ricochet’s OP alteration?

Right there with Vulcan's... the one that takes 13 seconds to enable, that will reduce it's damage during 10 of those 13 seconds and that eventually causes it to self-destruct.

Rico protection is very common now. Berserker is also very expensive and it would take a while for that to pay for itself, no matter how good it is. I’m also skeptical about it’s doubled energy consumption. I’m not a fan of a Rico which runs out of ammo no matter what the benefits are.
