Garage description:

Long-range sniper turret. Can enter sniper mode by holding the firing button. Damage in sniper mode will depend on how long do you charge up the shot, and your tank will also become completely immobile.

Great choice for fans of sniper battles. In regular mode, the turret works as a modern multifunctional weapon complex, with an astounding number of uses. It can brew coffee, order pizza, pay the checks, but in the heat of battle it doesn’t work any different from other turrets. The main speciality of Shaft turrets is the secondary sniper mode, upon entering which the power of your shots can be increased significantly if you charge them up. Using sniper mode requires the tank to enter its siege mode, meaning it cannot move. Focusing your shot on the enemy will also use an additional laser pointer, which can be detected by most modern tanks’ optical systems. That’s why seasoned tankers recommend to never be in the sniper mode for long, or you risk leaving your backside exposed to a surprise enemy attack.

IMO, shaft is still quite effective especially at m2, since so many people use hornets, shaft can take out a lot of players

Shaft is for noobs, hardly see them anymore at my rank and when I do I'm sure to take them out first.  In fact, I'll intentionally hunt down shafts when they are playing in a battle room I'm in.  Can't stand em, thinks its hilarious when I keep killing them and they leave.

I wouldn't necessarily say they are noobs, I used to think that shaft was for noobs but that's only because I know that before the rebalance, it was probably the most powerful turret in the game. It is still good if you know how to use it properly but many people don't and that's the thing that annoys me the most when a person at major rank joins with an m0 shaft

I cant stand shafts because they are worthless in a CTF game especially when like 3 or 4 of them join your team... they just sit there and go for kills clueless as to what is going on around them, its so stupid.  They also aren't very good at DM or TDM at higher ranks since they can only really one shot wasps and hornets at that point.

They aren't necessarily bad at ctf's, if you look at the game I posted, I was a midfielder and a defender. Although I do agree about the part that they are there just to go for kills as they have little potential in actually capturing a flag, some clever shafts may help out by grabbing ground and supporting the attackers by taking out the defenders so it's really a double edged sword when shafts are on your team.

One thing to note though, never use a shaft on a 4v4 game, they are completely useless especially in maps such as Combe and Sandbox. In smaller games, you need all tanks to be active and mobile players and campers are definitely not an option.

TDM's and DM's though are for shafts, as you said, they mainly go for hornets and wasps but can still do major damage to other tanks and if you have a good team, your teammates could finish them off easily

Yeah I just did a DM yesterday and was in front by about 40 percent more kills to the second place guy who was a M2 viking m2 shaft, I was a m2 mammoth, m2 smoky.  Many times I faced off with him head to head I dont think he ever won as the smoky was making it hard for him to aim at me.  But yes, he was in second place so i guess they are effective in DM.

You won't be laughing once there are 3-4 Shafts pointing at all entrances .. . happened in one Silence battle I was in. Nobody could capture anything!

Shafts working in teams is a tactic that usually works in places where there are little entrances or routes to the other enemies base, if a mammoth arrives or something else with lots of hp, you'll almost be guarenteed to take it out

shaft is 2nd most important gun after freeze in CTF matches.especially in large maps as kungur and Serpukhov
its scope mode is more effective and accurate than a railgun in taking down the enemy tank who has the flag and are out of the range of rest of the team's turrets.

Shaft after rebalance became one of the most usless weapons if you don't use power-ups, fully loaded it cannot kill a viking M3

Correction, twins are the most important turret in CTF after freeze.  I can completely change a game with mammo twin combo.

In my opinion, Shaft is still a great weapon, and it is still OP sometimes. Just try to play a Silence game with a drugging Shaft M2 ! Or not drugging, it can still one-shoot your hornet.

It is OP if you get it M2 at major rank, because at this rank, most of the players play with hornet, and you one shoot them at half way through the bar.

People think it has been nerfed too much, because before rebalance it used to one shoot every hulls, except mammy M3 (M2 was one shooted) and THAT was an OP shaft. Now, to use it with success, you need more skills, than everyone was used to.

To finish, I think this gun is really good and I'll buy it asap.

They can only dent my Mammoth, and when Wasp; they can't keep up aiming properly.

Shafts can only win, if they aim for enemies right infront of them... not even considering they'll need to aim for Wasps or Hornets to make a kill.

In other words; why use Shaft, if there's Railgun on the market.

Nah, everyone thinks its bad, but the few Shaft users find it amazing !

They are better for kill stealing, unlike in the past, when they used to one-shoot and dominate.

I am a shaft user, and I don't use it often, it cannot pouch as it did some months ago, it hasn't got that deadly power it had before rebalance

Not really i use it and destroy others easily. join a CTF match with it they all using hornet one hit kill. basically everyone uses hornet at that point and no not a kill stealer. i have a video on this on youtube with me killing everyone with an m1 shaft. fun of shaft is what it is called. so no way that shaft is weak just don'tt see alot of them because there turret moves slow

Please can someone tell me exactly what pwn and op mean? As for shaft I put it on about equal footing as railgun IMO, it was really annoying on red's side in moon silence when I had mammoth and thunder defending up by the flag. It was sniping at me from below! (btw I just typed those 'words' into a search engine and found out, to own or beat, and over powered. Sorry guys, hopefully one day I'll learn to look it up first.)
