The overheat wasn't really a 'overheat.' The charge justs goes and you go out of scope mode, when it first came out, i thought it did damage to you.

Well, I am still very new but I use Shaft in most of the games I play.  I find I can support attacks when my team move on the enemy flag, cover their withdrawal, break up enemy attacks if I can rotate quickly enough and can make things so hard for the opposition I end up drawing a lot of enemy fire, making things easier for my faster team mates.  

 

Today I had a Moon Silence game where I managed to get a very high kill count.  Surely that is exactly the purpose of the shaft.  Let's face it, as an assault weapon you would be better taking a banana.  I don't mind that it does not 1 shot kill a lot of things.  It makes the enemy react to it's presence, and that gives my team an edge.

 

In fact, the only thing I don't like about it is the abuse you get from some players for "camping".  All the swearing and names gets a little tiresome.  It is, after all, a tank game.  I have never seen a short range tank in my life.  By definition, they all move about or wait in ambush placing well aimed DU rounds in other tanks.  Why people get so upset I will never know.  I don't complain when the racing Twin gets past my shot and smashed me.  It's part of the game.

They arent going to 'fix' shaft because theres no problem with it. If you are reffering to making it better, maybe. IMO, after rebalance shaft is junk especially in higher ranks.

Now this is what I call an example of a player who stays cool and keeps his wits together in face of disturbing/annoying situations. And to all of you who get mad at the "campers", shaft is a gun made for camping and waiting. You want to stay far away of your targets and not close to them and running around, otherwise you're like a harmless duckling who's an easy prey to kill. I never got any high score by driving around with shaft, but I always do when I camp at my sniping spot and patiently wait for the target to come to me.

But anyways, I predict that Shaft is going to suck after the new updates. Un-killable hulls and hulls that are too fast for you to aim for.

and Yes I respect you all, but I rather believe in kits and I dont want to be part of some 'strike'.
