I honestly have no answer for that, score in DM is determined by the amount of kills you have so you definitely should have been in 1st place. Got any pictures of the battle you could show me?

This... cause your 61-11 makes no sense vs their 39/51. It had to of been TDM or something...

In the sale I had to choose between Thunder M2 or Shaft M2.

I am so glad that I choose Shaft.

I use it with Hornet (M2), with a hit and run tactic.

I might not be top on the points, but yesteday I came 3rd in a 15 DM. Even in maps like Sandbox it works well.

Brillliant to use and really annoys the enemy, the only thing is that you become number one target.

I have Firebird M2 (second favorite gun) and railgun M2, but I am always playing with Shaft now.

I am using upgrades to try to improve rotation speed, which is its biggest fault.

But if they fixed that than I think everybody would use it.

With Shaft, it's quite hard to keep on top of things.

That is, in terms of score and whatnot.

It really does depend on the way you play.

I'll admit that there was a bit of camping involved in the attached image but even if I don't camp and move around but hide after I shoot (as a sniper does), I will typically have a D/L of 15-30 and be among the first 3.

I think the difference between Shaft and Railgun is in terms of Scaring, and annoying.

Railgun wins the annoying category.

Shaft wins the scary category.  .  . .

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A good example is Silence map, at the red pipe. If a Railgun is using peek-a-boo tactic at the Pipe, he kills tanks.  .  . but nobody is scared to try and shoot the Railgun.
A Shaft camps at the Blue Team's cave. . . . he causes the whole Red Team to cower behind the walls. I even got pushed off by a dumb Teammate Viking because apparently he couldn't fit behind the wall. :mellow: I mean, that Shaft can't even 1-shot him. . .and after one shot it's 8 seconds of loading. . . .
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

And not to mention that the way Shaft helps a team is very overlooked by many people. Especially in CTF. Although people are like ''All the dumb Shaft does is sitting and shooting. Complete waste of a team space.'' They are wrong. They help keep the Flag safe. . .really safe. Probably one of the best Flag defenders rivaling Freeze. . .though Freeze might beat it. . . :P

Yeah. Firebird is an excellent turret. I bought it, and don't regret it.

In fact, I was having trouble choosing which turret, Shaft or Firebird?

I chose Firebird and it's just great.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Though again, it depends on what you like, and how you play. And what hulls you have.
Lets bring this to a higher level: fire, twins, or Smokey m2
I think this is an excellent comment.
One other difference between railgun and shaft for me, is the success rate of hitting the target.
Because the tanks are much faster now, it is slightly harder to hit a Wasp or Hornet. I would say I have an average 80% success rate with the Railgun.
With Shaft I have 95 - 100% success rate.
I might not always get the target I was aiming for, because he might of moved out of sight to quickly, but then I move the gun
around (slowly) and hit somebody else.
I perfer not to Park with a heavy tank, but move around with the Hornet.
Sine the sale I have been using Shaft as my main turret and love it.
All I want now is M3
I completely agree. When playing CTF, if the opposing team is stronger, I usually just protect the flag. I sit far away from the flag so no one suspects I'm defending the flag and the moment the opponent comes close, I destroy them. There were a few games where I was more or less the only one guarding the flag and we've won.
I do sometimes use mines with the Shaft because the turret is so slow, I place mines in my blind spots.
True. Except sometimes,its not. At least for me, I am not scared of shafts unless they can one shot me. Usually not the case, so I railgun it everytime it shoots. :lol:
