Before the update ( I don't remember the number) it was just perfect and a lot of people, including me used it (it was my first m1 turret). But now I scarcely see shafts in battles. I myself switched to freeze and thunder. It was one of my favourite weapons, but those days are, sadly, gone. The reloading time is way too much. U can't keep up in a battle if  u r just sitting doing nothing for 8 seconds! That means that in a 1 Minute battle, u make 7 shots! U r doing nothing for 50 seconds.

It will look like this-boom,wait,wait,wait,wait,wait,wait,wait,wait ( 1 wait for 1 second ),boom, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, die from boredom.

compare this with other turrets, say, thunderv- boom, wait, wait , boom, wait, wait, boom, wait, wait, boom, die, spawn, drive, boom, wait, wait, boom, wait, wait ,boom, wait, wait, boom.

(Note-above given conclusions are not entirely  mathematical and were given taking in mind the little time the writer had because his mother was calling him for dinner).

At least, that is my opinion. Don't take me wrong. I am a great fan of shaft.

P.S. - has anyone noticed that the jump in the statistics of m1 from m2 i so irregular?

You wont usually see shafts (who know what they're doing) GENERALLY, until around Colonel or higher ranks. This isnt true in all cases, but most people simply do not know how to use shaft to its full potential. Due to the difficulty of successfully using the Shaft (especially in smaller sized maps) you probably won't ever see too many shaft users running around. Most people aren't patient enough to master a turret or hull that they struggle with from the start. They just say, 'Its a horrible piece of equipment, I want my refund!'

At M1 shaft is very good vs. most new players who haven't a clue what they're doing... but it's not very effective past WO5 when people get stronger hulls. I'd say shaft's prime-time is in its M2 stages.. from Major ->Brigadier. Then it once again struggles to deal enough damage to 1 shot kill enemies... Its M3 is really not that noticeable until you Micro-upgrade it. For those wishing to play in Pro battles with MU's and Supplies turned off though, not being able to 1 shot kill hunters, vikings, nor dictators.... not to mention heavy hulls.. it can be frustrating.

I wouldn't suggest people to buy shaft M2 unless they truly love it at M1, and have found a very effective play style to use it with during its M1 stages. If you fall in love with it at M1, you'll enjoy it at M2 much more. However if you didn't like it at M1, M2ing it really won't change much. Shaft is simply not for you, and perhaps you should try railgun instead.

i like that in NS battles with shaft(m2 unfortunately)i can completely secure an side of a map and that is so easy because you see lots of light tanks :D

shaft m3 can kill a hornet m3 with prodigy(15% shaft protection) with 1 shoot,m2 cant that <_<

and prodigy is a popular paint!

and masive shaft protection i never seen(rarely maybe 1 jade at a lot of games) and that is a good thing!

btw, gismos hate shaft users they always want to kick them out :(

Thanks for that brandy. I have fallen in love with shaft. I would love to play with you though, so you can show me some tips and shafts full potential. I am pretty patient and have learned to use its slow reload and fast charge. I was sniping like a boss today.

Saw this WO4 the other day in a polygon dm with wasp and shaft m1.

He had something like 50 kills and 2 deaths. I tried to get to his sniping spot abut the whole game but he protected it so well I didn't get to it

If ur shooting against a fast hull, you should aim where they're gonna be, correct? IDK cuz I've got only m0 so I can't do much damage, but REALLY want m2 right now........... OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH baby do I want it...

Haters gonna' hate! I was in a silence CTF, and got first and second place with shaft. I shot this rail guy once, and hes like "dont kill me!" Then he started haunting me down, but he couldnt get any of his shots on me, so I would kill him straight away. Anyway, shaft working good for me. :)

Correct. Even better, aim where they come out from into your view. If that is not possible, try to use the first two seconds (scope is fast) to move scope to where its going. Then, shoot it when it comes in range. I actually had done pretty good with shaft m0, but shaft m1 is great! I also cant wait for m2. Hopefully a sale will be later so we can both get it!
