If I know that there is a shaft waiting for me I don't actually rotate my camera view and see if he is moving his turret meaning he is probably not in his scope mode. Instead I listen for that characteristic high pitched sound which is heard when the shaft fires.

And then I come out of cover and attack him!

However a shaftsman can easily prevent others from figuring that out by pressing pause 'P' key when in scope mode so that the sound is'nt heard.

Don't know if this is common knowledge but anyways..

Oh yeah, I do that...I don't use the 'P' key, I just hit enter because that's easier to feel on the keyboard without taking your eyes off the screen. The enter key brings up the chat box so follow it up with the escape key and you silently jump out of scope mode without anyone knowing.

Shaft is very underrated, but that means less protection paints from it :P

Its good for one-hitting Hornets/Wasp, I've used it in Test server and got a 108 D/L.

That would have taken a while... I find that Shafts don't bother me that much because they can't one-hit me very often. Most Shafts just wait for a Hornet to come along so they can one-hit it.

Hornets are very common nowadays :D

But I hate it when they use Picasso :(

And yes it took a while, a LONG one.

Goes surprisingly well with Wasp....

Only on big maps though.

I've never tried this. Doesn't the impact of the shot flip you?

Suppose you were only able buy the M1 Shaft but you still use the M0 Wasp because you don't have enough crystals...won't firing a shot with this configuration flip you over?

If you shoot facing the same way as your hull, it won't happen.

Ah, this wouldn't work for me then. I'm usually in a position where the turrets facing to my left or right.

It doesn't flip me :D

Actually, using Wasp makes it very easy to hide

Wow the turret speed in scope mode increased so much when you press it down for more than one second, is it normal or just a glitch?

I noticed this too yesterday. It was very difficult to play because my timing was all off. I think maybe the previous update (where you can change turret/hull/paint without leaving the battle) had something to do with it.

Yeah, but with practice it can be useful.

Maybe theres a mole dev who likes shaft so he snuck into the game a quicker turret speed in scope mode  ;)

This is a message to you, mole dev:

Make the shaft m2 damage 300 please  :D

300 is waaaaay too much, there are supposed to be at least a few hulls that shaft can't one-hit.
