I don't see how Remaine's post is a troll. More like a warning or advice that (He thinks) would stop you from typing down irrelevant posts. Though honestly, he's right.

Fair enough. Guess not all can have what they want. So, back to discussion. 

 

Is Shaft really that overpowered at ANY range? 

 

Now that the arcade mode is more usable. Is it?

I find that it is. But those who have Shaft at a higher modification can better inform on that - I use Shaft but on my alt - considering getting it on my main but that's not for certain. I need to fit it into my equipment itinerary.

It is a lot of fun and you can one shoot and cause critical damage on alot of tanks. It is worth every one of the 103,500 crystals it costs. It is best in CTF mode, so if you like those its an even better buy. I hope you get it.

I just purchased it and it is so fun worth every 103,600 crystals it costs. :) it can be good in dm if there are enough hornets, I got a 2.4 d/l in polygon DM without using supplies. I also enjoy the powerful arcade shots. I can kill m2 hornets in 4 arcade shots (2 with double power!).

I'm not sure, I only have m2. But m3 would take less time to kill hornets thereby letting you recharge faster. I plan to get m3 shaft someday. Did you see in the recent clan wars one of the particiapants used m3 shaft and dominated, but that was before they changed shaft, I think it is better now.

a shaft m3 does 193 damage without MU,while hornet full MU at health is 200!!

you MU a bit shaft,to go over 200 and after you enjoy killing light hulls :D

I really enjoy "no-scoping" with the Shaft. There's nothing more silly than thoroughly misusing a weapon like that. =P

 

But it's actually quite useful. At my rank, a Railgun can leave just enough HP on a Hornet of the same modification for you to easily steal that kill with an arcade shot. I don't know if this is true for the M2 or M3 Railguns and Hornets, but I'll do it while I can.
