This topic is all about strange techniques for shaft! Now since i am a (mostly) shaft user myself, i probaly won't do something else like this UNLESS you guys want more.

So here we go.

The first strange technique is going for the flag. Yeah.

It does seem strange, and it is strange, for a shaft, the slowest moving turret, the biggest turret, and the slowest reload time, to go for the flag. The reason i say this is because it has two shooting options, sniping mode (or scope mode), and arcade mode, which is just a regulaur shot. So imagine this scene

"The shaft rushes in, fast. With the help of nitro he bursts through the enemy defenses, shooting like crazy. He sees the flag, makes a beeline for it, and has it."

Pretty good story huh? Now when i say shooting like crazy, i mean arcade mode. Even though its reload time is kinda slow, its still pretty good damage. You could basiclly hide, scope shoot someone in the enemy base, then after that get in and get out. Your probaly wondering how one would get in and out, which leads us to our next topic.

Use hornet.

Reason i say this is because of arcade mode. Most of the time, shafts just find a hiding spot, pick tanks off, and never get hit. One word. BOOOOOORING. When using hornet you can get in the heat of things. Now im not saying get in the open where tanks can see you and start scoping. No, I'm saying that shaft is basiclly a bigger slower stronger version of smoky. So you would probally be in the back, but still shooting. If you have enough tanks around you, you CAN start scoping. The good things about hornet is that your pretty fast, so you could scope a strong enemy, then get behind a wall or something. Bad thing is low health.

Well thats all i can think of for today. See you guys!

İ captured flag with mammoth and shaft :D Because my team winning. Shaft can do too much things so, it is not too much anormal.

And for some maps, shaft too usefull so, can capture flag. Because capture flaggers not suitable for this maps.

Madness, Massacre, Skycrapers etc...

Hornet too bad for shaft. Because first shaft can kill with one shot hornets. İf you use hornet, you will be main target for other shafts.

Hornet is not too high so, much times you can't see platforms etc...

You maybe think: İf i use faster hull, i can run away quickly." False, because short range players use same hull.

Much times you die before your shot.

İf you want this, please try smoky or railgun.

My idea, shaft 2. most special gun(1. isida). And smoky maybe similar but shaft not smoky. First time i bought shaft, i think: "İf i but shaft, i can use railgun and smoky same time" but after, i understand. This is false.

First, smoky's barrel is slim so easy to aim. Shaft's barrel isn't slim. And smoky's turning speed is high so, faster aiming. And, if you turn turret, monitör image a bit slides. For smoky, quick, for shaft, a bit slow. Shaft's normal mode's tactics much different to smoky.

Smoky's damage lowing with range but shaft's normal mode damage don't lowing. But shaft's damage a bit lowing with moving.

Shaft isn't smoky.

My idea: You need think much.

Shaft is for those who hide.

Smoky is the one weapon that you need PRO to use. Until you get to m2 that is.

Thats what you think,I am atleast 10 ranks higher than you (in my main account of course),and I am thuse definetly more experienced than you....Shaft is definetly NOT for those who hide,Professionals can also use it to Strike

I was in a battle the other day with a crazy Shaft. He was on blue and came into our base, on full drugs of course, and ran off with the flag. He captures it, then scopes down as his drugs wear off. Then he goes again, capping it. He even had a D/L which was over 4! I left cause it was drug infested battle with nooby Isidas on my team

A Wasp/Shaft yesterday in Serpuhov effectively won the game for his/her team. Considering I was the only one actually trying on my team (I really, do not like, playing, with WOs and below.), there was no way around him. Everytime I'd go somewhere, he'd somehow locate me and take me out. We lost 4-7...

*I captured all 4 flags... my team was of no help at all.

Wasp-Shafts are a rare sight in ranks above WO1, but if you're a skilled player, you can take out a lot of enemies in a short period of time. It's a very mobile sniping configuration; you can destroy more players, since you don't have to wait in a camping spot. Run out to get a good view, snipe, and retreat.

Now that I have M1 Wasp, I should try that out.
