Yeah it's penetration damage. What happens is the gun puts out "x" damage. The damage is calculated on the receiving tank. If the damage is enough to destroy the tank it does so, and any leftover damage is assigned to the tank behind it. This continues until there is no more damage left to assign.

As you said it is the penetration damage . But it is like this , if you shoot two people behind each other there is a percentage of which the damage dealt to the tank before it is passed on .So for example if the penetration percentage is 10 if the shaft dealt 100 damage to the tank before it the tank behind it will take 10 damage . Same principle goes for railgun .

I think that the Shaft is very strong and thats the problem with it,being that it is the weapon with the most damage you need to down its damage or recharge time because it might be unfair sometimes in battle because it recharges fast and it does allot of damage even if it spins slow people get fast spining hulls,so i think that the shafts damage needs to go down 25% or its recharge time 35%.
Thank You!
And any Shaft lover pleas don't hate
And this is just a sugestion,i'm not forceing anyone.

Shaft, also a good weapon that is built to others style. For a lot shaft is not their style. But for some it can be a dangerous weapon to those who are within its sights. With its high power scoping mode hornet or wasp should be hitting the nitro to get out of there. Like I said, this weapon is for some people not all. If you don't mind sitting and waiting for people to come to you, then if you haven't tried already; do now.

@ Gunshot Agreed.

@solodragons if you've been using the weapon for a crazy long time like I have, you learn it has huge limitations.

1: can't move in snipe mode

2: the recharge time is a lot slower than you think

3: the turning speed is slooow

4: ranking up takes a long time with this weapon

After using shaft for a long time you begin to learn how to deal with these limitations.

Maybe part of your problem is you are facing an experienced shaft user.

If this is occurring, then it probably feels like you are being targeted. That's probably because you are. If you use hornet shafts are a little more likely to shoot at you. Thats not a reason to complain of you look at it. If you look at stats shaft can really only kill m2 hornets and wasps at m1. And m0 Vikings. If you feel like you are being targeted by a shaft try using viking m1 or higher. So, if you look at it shafts damage isn't all that high. It used to be able to one shot a mammoth m3 If I am correct.

As for nerfing the damage, shaft is a sniper turret it's supposed to have high damage. That's the entire point of being a sniper with a scope.

If the damage is nerfed shaft becomes a glorified railgun. And none of us wants that.

BTW I'm not hating just pointing out the facts as well as offering helpful advice.

Dealing to the slow turning speed it is almost faster if you go in scope and turn it right away. Only do this if you know there is something out of scope range.
