IMO, shaft is still quite effective especially at m2, since so many people use hornets, shaft can take out a lot of players

Still debating about Shaft?

Why?

Just a look at battles can persuade you that Shaft is there, stronger than ever.

(ok, not ever, let's say in last 12 months)

Maybe shafters are on the run because of the laser, but a balanced team with 1 or 2 shafts can cause much pain to the opponent.

If previously shaft was hard opponent, now it''s ruthless.

That's all I experience in CTF battles. Isn't it common evidence?

You just need to find out good camping spots. And in DM in large maps, i'm also either 1st or 2nd place. Usually, Kungur is good for that.

Ask trom, we were on the same side yesterday (today in their time probably) in monte carlo

they came and took our flag, on just that once, I killed at least 10 people who took the flag and it returned :p

no offense...but all those people who over use shaft at lower ranksand continue to overuse it even above the rank major will typically become a bunch of noobs. You will soon understand....and shaft at DMs?? Meh.......

Actually problem, if we have to think laser, DM is better choice because you can attack from all sides. However this advantage is for just some maps. İf you in a crowded match with lots of medium hulls, it can be nightmare  :(

 

But with all cases, opponent light hull=shaft. Match type or map generally doesn't matter.

he said of the gap between M1 and M2 and the M2 becomes a beast and M1 isnt,

well my M1 shaft is kinda not much microed and it has 160 full sniping damage while shaft M2 has185

 

so it isnt that very much difference of M1 and M2 shaft for m3 :) :p

and Im not the best shafter ever :)

After 20 minute put me in to a nightmare with drugs and teams and maybe be lived me the hardest times  :angry:  After this extremely unfair and annoying times when i get win, they say "team please!" My answer is just be them one-hitted!!  :angry:  :angry:  :angry:

no kidding! I'm not a big shaft guy now because of the new laser update. Every time I put the laser in an enemy he runs and I'm a slow shooter. (You'll know what I mean if you always play team deathmatch/capture the flag on serpuhov) sometimes the laser update saves me but most of the time it kills me. :-( ever since yesterday (December 2014, last day) when I got the m1 dictator, freeze, railgun, and soon twin gun I have resisted m0 freezes well. It does feel really good to use my railgun to flip people over though. I know, I'm small, once I get the m1 twin I'll explode. ;-). I just need a lot o crystals and I'll be good, I'd say 2,500,000 would do me a great deal! Tanki is my favorite game. I don't see a lot o golds though. I usually don't play long enought.

I will say this. It's got the power. With two or three simple mu's, it is possible to ohko an m3 mammoth. Provided you use a DP, but still.

I love the fact that the shaking is gone. But sadly, I've been finding that I'm using my thunder and firebird a lot more than my shaft.
