I dont agree with some parts :)

 

you say a hull that could take damage, well,those tanks usually are titan and mammy that are slow

and casue of laser you got to be fast and moving :)

 

and the orange part, seen my small map scores?

It really depends on your style of play. Big hull works fine for the style I described.

I'm talking about coming in the top 2-3 with a D/L between 20-50 without drugs. You can't do that with a light hull. You've also got to make sure you have a strategic spot to take cover when necessary...like that container on the red side of Silenece. That's my most favourite spot in all of Tanki as a shaft. I can see 3 of the 4 entry points from there and I usually end up with a very high D/L and a high score too.

Using a Shaft in a small map is not the smartest choice :)

It's like taking a sniper rifle to shoot someone inside a small room. Not even the best General in the world would recommend that :P

Yes

At big maps, they learn play against railgunners and other shafters

Specially "fightning against other shafters" is the most important mission of shafters in team games.

İf your teams long ranges cannot prevent opponent long ranges, opponent long ranges blast your side.

Learning to snipe in a small map is actually a brilliant idea. You get more exposure against short ranged weapon and although you get a thrashing, you'll soon learn ways to get around. My main goal is to figure out how to deal with a freeze.

 

As for facing off against long range weapons, I love that stuff! Throwing railguns off their accurate aim(I'm impressed with how some players use that turret), facing off against other shaft players is my thing. You got to be that ghost that constantly haunts them with the thought that no will be safe till you're out. 

 

Not to mention, that laser pointer update is also pretty good at teaching shafters to adapt to situations and using more stealth

Shafts are one of my biggest threats. They are surprisingly accurate. :D  :lol:  :lol: They're one of the two guns I dread. Other one is Freeze.

Me too! I use Shaft and it's a BEAST!!!!!! Extremely accurate and powerful! I ALSO HATE FREEZE!!!!!!

No, I move around but not all over the map. I move around maybe about a diameter of 5 lengths of the tank. The reason for that is because I always use a heavy hull and I always position myself in a way where I can see all the entry points and that's only a few places that give you that flexibility, depending on the map.
