Shaft is not OP. It can only kill 2 out of 7 hulls in one shot (w/out drugs), you need to stop moving for a few seconds at a time to take advantage of that, and it has a slow rotation speed and reload.

Stop saying that it's OP, we don't want it unjustifiably nerfed >_>

Since the new update, in it's scope mode, shaft has an improved turret speed. Yes. It can slay Wasp, Hornet in one shot. Nearly kill Hunter, Viking. Takes a few shoots to knock-down Titan, Mammoth and Dictator.

My question is, why were u reading posts from October .-.

What?

The post that you quoted here was from October 20th, a good 3 months ago. That was quite obviously before the rotation speed change.

Speaking of the change in rotation speed, I like it. It almost feels like M3 Shaft on the test server, which is saying something. It'll take some getting used to, however.

Shaft fun to use only at low ranks and maybe test server xD

Other than railguns, what would you use on Monte Carlo when you are barely within Thunder range? (except for the fools who wander close enough to get hammered). You can have a Smoky if your guys command the field :-) It is a railgun paradise with the auto-aim, but Shaft is needed for the angle shots and looking WAY up or down, e.g. an enemy on your back rank who is backstabbing you.

Here's a story of how shaft vs shaft worked: two enemy gunners on the back (lower) spawn area are cross-firing at anything that threatens their guys crossing the low bridge. But then two shafts take up positions at their end of the bridge, and the tables turn. Now the snipes become the prey, along with anybody who tries to cross. The only thing better than a talented flag-jumper is to control that low bridge between home grounds.

It did seem kind of impotent when you couldn't aim over as fast as someone jumped out. I am VERY used to it now and appreciative.

Shaft leaves you incredibly vulnerable <snip> you are a sitting duck when using shaft, and you can be attacked from several ways. you also have limited field of view so you are incredibly susceptible to mine bombing, mind games and anti-shafters.

Which more than compensates for its infinite distance and substantial killing power. You forgot that even with arcade, a shaft can be eaten alive by fire, ice, or blood-sucking Isidas, because you can't get a second shot off.

There are no noob turrets, only noob players. Shaft is just an equalizer at long distance, not a close range weapon except in Esplanade. ;)

Then again, why are we reasoning with @Athena369

All the latest updates are favouring Shaft.

Tanki nurfed railgun and now it's next to worthless. I have to move to thunder more and more to stand a chance.

I don't know what they are doing but it seems to me that old players that keep shouting Tanki ruined the game must be right.

Worthless ? are you serious ? Railgun rules in every mode, every map , and every situation if you're good at using it. they nerfed the impact force still if you're good "enough" you can flip Tanks easily.
