your maneuverability will have to be good if you want to escape an attacker. Shaft is probably close to one of the most difficult turrets to play effectively without camping. (inb4 camp master, Freeze) If you are going to "quickscope" you HAVE to be good at it or you are a literal sitting tank. You have to assess the battle, find out the best place to snipe, and continue to reassess the battle with marginal error. you CANNOT mess up, unlike with every other turret. Rail is easier because you have a good view to work with and the ability to drive and shoot. (not saying this denotes rail as having less skill, but the knowledge of that skill allows more margin of error when playing) I might add more if i think of it too

I'm sorry but was this meant to be another one of your dumbest ever posts? ( just like the one where you said freeze and fire should have auto aim? <----- :D :D :D :D ) shaft was never meant to be a great attacker. Here are my reasons,

1) Low reload rate of shaft- ok lets say you somehow made it to the enemy base. How the hell do you expect yourself to survive with a turret that has a reload time with an ULTRA HIGH reload time. I don't think arcade shots can do you any better either a fully drugged such "attacking" shaft can be stopped in mere seconds by a single undrugged Rico or ( insert any short ranged turret here).

2) Low rotation speed- How do you expect to battle the defenders with the low turret rotation speed?

Why in the world would someone need to use a shaft in attacking ( or more preferably to capture flags ) when there are more than enough turrets which can get the job done better. ( Same as being an attacker with a mammy freeze)

I know there are such people who believe they can attack well with shaft and crumple the enemies.

They should be either

a) aged 3 so that their understanding of this game might be low,

b) Have a low IQ.

c) have watched too much of the movie "300"? :D

Such captures with shaft might happen once in a blue moon at lower ranks where there are people who can't turn their turrets at all. But they do go extinct when you surpass the rank of brigadier where every player has understood the basics of this game. What's my point you may ask? My point is that every turret is meant to do some job or is certainly better at different and unique positions of this game. If such "noble" shafter who has tons of "skills" and a "brave" heart joins one of my games I would rather ask him politely to leave or leave the game myself. Playing with a mult is far more enjoyable than that.....

P.s

Please don't try to prove dumb points. :D

I always used Shaft in attacking. It's a pretty amazing experience especially if you pair it with Hornet. It's hit-and-run bonanza (Plus points if half the enemy team are Hornets).

I've switched to camping with Titan for now since Hornet M2 doesn't really cut it anymore, but I still have the tendency to rush into the enemy base to attack. And yes, camping is REALLY boring :/

That's why I played on my alts more...

#ShaftEqualsNoobGenerator

I kinda agree with this statement.

In my last battle, I saw a guy using M2 Shaft-Hornet and on my mind was "Oh look, that's my old combo, I hope he uses it right", and he just kept sitting there, unmoving, just waiting for my teammates to cross his scope in hopes of getting a kill.

This happens with 90% of all the Shaft-Hornet combos I come across with.

I am highly disappointed.

Can't the same be said about Railgun? Your point about the Shaft and the Rico is pure exaggeration.

FYI, with the word "noob shafters" I am referring to people who ONLY use shaft but nothing else.

So, you're clearly bashing on people who have Shaft as their favorite turret?
Ridiculous.

This is clearly blind hatred against Shaft users!

Let's just stop this and have some actual constructive feedback on Shaft can we? This thread was absolutely fine before you came along. (And I was only gone for a month sheesh)

What about shaft-hunters? :P

I can't really say something about Shaft Hunter, because the last time I ran into an M2 Shaft-Hunter, was about 5 months ago, but I remember that he/she was completely wrecking our team. Was super annoying.

Dunno why some people say go switch your shaft in polygons :/

Even though I wreak people :/

Once in An Island someone told me to switch to something else

And at the end it was my shaft

That helped us win :D

They want to explain that:

You are near to allone. Someone just want to kill you, because avoiding to give KS, and some haters, of course. You are generally near to opponents that actually you doesn't have enough power to fight against. Targets are changing quickly. And you can't use supply boxes generally.

Still I get top 3 position at list  :P  :P  :P

Tips:

Find drug position one th edge and camp near there.

Get position that hard to go there.

Follow targets heal.

Never hit same target again and again.

Avoid from open areas.

Hope to see lots of light tank, or KS :D

Last of not the least, don't play too crowded games, or use medium-heavy hull.

By the way, I don't support using shaft in İsland anyway, but you are doing it well.

I don't play shaft in these maps:

Gravity

Courage

Island

Pass

Factory

Hill

Noise

Good thing that at least you understood it since most of the people here are either blinded by their beloved shaft or simply disagree With most of my points.

same goes for this as well.

Can't the same be said about Railgun? Your point about the Shaft and the Rico is pure exaggeration.

Yep i agree with you most of the stuff I mentioned in the first paragraph is same on railgun as well. My point here is that you should play with the fitting combo at the correct position of the game. Would anyone go attack with a mammy/ freeze in a regular CTF? The same logic applies when attacking with shaft as well....

So, you're clearly bashing on people who have Shaft as their favorite turret?

Ridiculous. nope I am not bashing people who have shaft as their favourite but, I would gladly bash upon those noobs who ONLY use it. Understand the difference.....

This is clearly blind hatred against Shaft users!

Let's just stop this and have some actual constructive feedback on Shaft can we? This thread was absolutely fine before you came along. (And I was only gone for a month sheesh) sure! and I believe it's open to constructive criticism as well which is the exact reason I'm here....

Cowardice, spawn killing, and such: I have no compunction, seek out the perpetrators, and kill them repeatedly when they play again. It is a bit easier with a one-shot weapon. :) You don't want to get on my list. (too much Bradley Cooper??)

you`ve got no idea how I play...

She doesn't have to. Of course, she could be a retired lumberjack with too much time to play games. I'm only here to learn strategy. My grandnephew could beat me at this and he's 8.
