Actually, I was very confused most of the time since I haven't played a serious Skylark match for nearly 2 years now.

There was also a drugging Smoky-Viking, which was really hard to take down thanks to it's personal Isida M3, but he usually camped at the far corners of the map so the damage was negligible. The impact force can be felt from a hundred meters away and knocked off my aim at times though..

Druggers always manage...

We should VS anyday...  :)

I like how this thing is underrated by a lot of players; you'll have a hard time finding players with Shaft protection paints.

Yeah, Shaft protection paints are very rare these days.

Do they even excist?

Ohh wait this pops up into my mind while I'm typing... I've prodigy

They are actually not so rare, maybe I don't have any problems with them just because my Shaft is M4.

Sometimes I try to use shaft on Polygon CP.

Already no one has shaft protection

Idk why, but whenever i use shaft, at least 2 people get banned. When i finish the battle im like: "good game, bet im 3 position." but then im first on a massacre map whit every tank having m1 except me. I dont even like shaft, i'm just good at it. Its so goddamn weird

Even weirder when you are good at it, and you find you only got killed 3 times while everybody else is in double digits.

BRING BACK SHAKENING! BRING BACK SHAKENING! BRING BACK SHAKENING!

That feature made me feel like a true sniper.

You support! I support!

BRING BACK SHAKENING! BRING BACK SHAKENING! BRING BACK SHAKENING!

But I agree for a different reason: The laser completely destroyed its own purpose with the removal of scope shaking, making facing campers all the more infuriating. Now you KNOW you can't do anything about it

I miss the old Shaft.

This laser is dumb, it gives away your position.

BRING BACK SHAKENING!

It's unfair that pro Shaft players are punished just because noobs don't know how to aim.

Yeah, you may think shaft is for noobs. And, for, , anyone under Captain it probably is for noobs, a cheap, easy to master turret kills in a touch of a spacebar.

They don't know much better they could become.

I used Railgun throughout warrant officer, smoky in the lieutenants, and now in my other account that plays in Brazil (that is a higher rank than this one) I use shaft wasp with tundra.... m1, m1 (M2 on valentines) anyway, I use it like a railgun, except...BETTER than a railgun user.

I use the peekaboo effect just like a railgun, zooming in before my tank stops so that by the time the momentum carries the tank far enough for the turret too get out of the blockade I'm in front of, the loading is already half done. Then, if its a railgun I have in my sights by the time they notice me and charge it up too get a shot off, I wreck em'.

If I don't get a one shot, I hurry off someplace else. Why? They can't do anything, hit with a twin ball and they die.

Or, if I hate them, I just finish them off arcade mode.

Arcade mode.

A underappreciated aspect of shaft, In my opinion. With more knockback then smoky, I can beat a railgun/hornet anyday of the week just by circling them with my wasp and hitting them with 4 or 5 arcade shots. And, if they really suck, I step back after they miss me and one shot them in scope mode.

I don't just camp and snipe people, instead I circle the map finding the dangerous opponents, and then I take them out. Or, I assist my teammate by purposefully showing my laser sight down a alley or path, letting them carry the flag to safety or use their drugs to their full effect.

Thunders don't bother me, just back up a half an inch and they do nothing to me.

Out of twins rico and Vulcan only rico can do me damage. I can avoid twins, and Vulcan sucks short range.

Obviously, if a short range turret latches on me I count it as a death. But, I never let that happen. Plus, I usually can speed my way out of an isida fairly easily.

My point is, shaft is entirely more diverse than what anyone thinks. You can use it like a smoky, or a railgun, or a sniper, if used with skill on a wasp or hornet.  It rocks.  Combining arcade and scope together is the way to use shaft to it's full potential.

However,I ain't gonna bash people that never move their hull with a shaft. It's fine, if they are smart they will know where to shoot, and who too shoot. It's strategy, knowing where dangerous tanks will show up, or when someone trying to take your flag flys around the corner.....

My experience with smoky and railgun lets me be able to be such a good shafter,  I think.

Perhaps people think shaft is for noobs because they have never tried it, or they always get killed by it. That just means noobs are killing you.

If it is a noob tube, then you would think "advanced players" would be able too avoid a shaft...

Edit: I still want to know what the sexiest looking tank for shaft is. I think wasp/Viking, what do you think?

I have exactly the same strategy while using my shaft but with the hornet, hornet unlike a wasp have greater stability, more armor and health meaning it still with the right paint can take a lot of hit and then some more, I consider myself to be a moving or combat sniper and can adapt to any situation during the battlefield but I personally like to stay in midfield or close to the enemy base trying to punch a hole so that our flag runners can get in and if no one is around then go in myself, I also like dog fights specially with rail gunners and can camp and defend if the situation needs me too, the real and true potential of shaft lies in your ability to balance both arcade and snipe, using the momentum of your hull (specially the sliding that hornet has) to create extreme and previously unfounded angles and making tactics like peek a boo obsolete, intermixing both aspects of game play and adapting to any situation necessary is what shaft is all about and if you are only a camper and are NOT using every other aspect that the shaft provides then you should never consider your self a shaft master in any shape and form.

I'm not saying that I am one but with the introduction of the laser and with the increase of arcade damage and the rotational speed in arcade mode is changing the very dynamics of shaft game play, I see myself as the newer generation and it won't be long where we will see players with real skills mastering the shaft in xp style game play and with the one shot ability that shaft has in snipe mode oh boy rail gunners watch out.
