First of all, the new changes make shaft more effective for high ranks, but I don't think this has changed a lot for low ranks

 

Okay, I need ideas...

I am making a guide, and I've decided to add some videos(maybe).

I've recorded some videos. On some of them, my performance was great, some of them are pure waste.

Should I add good performances, or bad performances?

CHANGES IN THE GAME

Another imbecile change, will not prevent more players from Shaft leave the game.

The game is faster and faster, because it still keeps the stupid laser sight, beyond what the bugs were not fixed in many maps still impossible to play with the Torret spinning out of control or the target sight is locked unable to move or shoot.

Still the same.....

in a gameplay of 15 min , i got 3 to 4 time's the turret does at random 1 of these 3 things:

1) - starts to spin to the right, the only thing you can do is press space bar and shoot once he is aiming , then is done 

at that moment, i'm helpless for a 10 seconds, so the chance you got hit by enemy fire is big.

2) the turret is aiming straight upward, solving the problem :  like above.

also about 10 sec helpless.

3) the turret is aiming straight down. solving the problem :  like above.

 

Playing in full screen doesn't work.

I am playing with the cursors, cause playing with the mouse isn't my thing.

 

Wrong, you just need to press the direction keys on your keyboard in the direction that your turret is spinning awkwardly, then everything is fine. However, these precious 1 to 2 secs may be a matter of life or death. Therefore, I still insist that the bug should be solved.

 

Sorry, your right => i mean the direction keys.

The problem is, when the turret is aiming up, down, or spinning of its own,

you lose about 10 seconds ( where you are helpless ), before you can aiming again at full strenght of your second attempt,

When nothing is wrong and you respawn, you can aim immediately at full strenght.

It's realy frustating, and already exist for over 3 months  :angry:

At this point in time, I question the logic of Light shafters. Yep, while hornet is a great hull, and it is good with some situations with shaft, but which ***** CAMPS WITH HORNET-SHAFT WITH ABSOLUTELY NO CAMOUFLAGE?! I see this all the time especially in Monte-Carlo. Explains my 11/0 K/D in a match, And i'm playing TO for the first time in the month! USE HEAVIES.

Add both good and bad, but carefully choose the ones where you didn't perform well. If you find them worth a discussion, put them up:)

I see these samples at my rank and higher as well. But there are some wise guys who use Lead at around your rank and mine as well. Still, even Lead or Dirty won't get most of my victims much chance of survival given that I got an MU'd M2 Shaft. Now with the new update, even fewer of my victims will survive one shot. As for me, the only way an enemy Shaft can take me out in one shot is with double power. Winter paint has proved to be a major help for me:)

There is some points which I couldn't do, but I know I should do. I am still trying to regulate my technique. But anyway, I think many other shafter won't be able to anyway.

So, should I really add them to discuss some technical points, or should I put a perfect gameplay to teach newbies?

Basically, I've started to face some problems which I couldn't find a way to solve. What I found is theorically possible solutions.

I need a help from better shafters, this guide may pull them. However, I should also put simple tactics to pull newbies and get more shafters.  :unsure:

The idea of "better" shafters might be subjective, but if anything, folks in here might want to vote on who they think are the best shafters, and then you could pick from them.  I consider my self an excellent shafter, but that said, that's my opinion, my scores generally reflect it I think, but maybe ther are thosethat score much higher consistently, I don't know.  The point is, if you're going to get other people's opinion, get the opinions of those who are regarded as good ones.

For some reason, the introduction of a perm Railgun XT with the dailies makes me hope for a Shaft XT. :mellow:

Pls bring back pre-rebalance red glow 4 it

The turret that can transform 1 weapon exclusively. Turns railgun into failgun if the user is experienced :D

Most skilled players can turn nearly any railgun into a failgun okay

I cant stand shafts because they are worthless in a CTF game especially when like 3 or 4 of them join your team... they just sit there and go for kills clueless as to what is going on around them, its so stupid. They also aren't very good at DM or TDM at higher ranks since they can only really one shot wasps and hornets at that point.

By the way, I just played around 4 games at Sandbox with a Shaft. Upgrading arcade mode damage to the fullest has really benefitted me, plus most of my targets were Hornets. Won all 5 games and I never expected to have the highest score in one or two games, in spite of a lot of Railguns around and me being slightly clumsy here and there from not playing in a while.
