Just remove its laser beam and make it visible only to the same team and increase its zoom or scope rotational speed

Best gun in tanki by far

worst gun in tanki online I think they should get rid of it completely.

Wait, what?! First you say it's the best gun and 5 minutes later you say it's the worst gun. :p

They need to add in more power or impact to it, since they already messed this weapon up by destroying the sniping factor with the laser.

Now it's soo hard to flip a hornet, the impact power is ridiculous, it used to be one of the best things in shaft, every single gun in the game is super OP.

A Vulcan has much more impact power in it, so is Smoky, and Rail, and all of their damage is crazy as well, so every single gun in the game gets better and better beside Shaft, it just gets worse for us because we're the smallest community, it's so annoying how they're destroying this weapon, and making other weapons soo OP. Please consider a re-balance in our favor, for ONCE.

I have shaft m3 with full sniping damage MU (280). It can 1 shot m3 Vikings but I don't seem to 1 shot many, either because they are using a shaft paint or their Vikings HP has MU. I was planning on full MU for either arcade damage or its impact. Before the update a shaft m3 could flip a dictator m2 but now I can't even flip an m0 wasp!! So would it be worth it if I did full MU the impact force so I can flip tanks again?

Mine is M2, with a full MU on the impact, I can flip tanks, ONLY when they are airborne.

After the update it's next to impossible, to flip a tank while on the ground, especially at your rank because people won't mind spending on MUing their hulls, which people won't do so for M2's or M1's.

But like I said with skill and MUing you can, but it's not that easy at your rank, and they have to be airborne, for a little at least, I don't think you can flip anything beside Wasp on the ground.

I want a RE-BALANCE.

Is there a reference guide to what the old impact ratings were for shaft?  If so, you could compare what it was and what the full MU value is, then you'd know if you could.  I also know that I recall them redoing the physics engine a little in genreal if I'm not mistaken to keep rails from flipping everyone all the time, so there is that too, not even turret related, but game environment related.

I am not a shaft user, but agree that it was not fair to attach the laser beam. It was OP due to very high damage from a very long distance and little trace, but the devs should have done the following instead of laser beam

1. Reduce scope area

2. Introduce variance like wind factor and distance to compute where the bullet will hit, just like real world sniping. This can be fun and challenging

3. Introduce variable focus so that the user needs to change focus to see who is near or far.

Just suggestions......don't know technical feasibility

I like your suggestions. I think in the end, if at least the second or third were implemented, Shaft would have a better reputation because the less skilled players would find it harder to use and probably more Railgun players who think they use the "turret which requires the most skill" would turn around and realise Shaft's power

can you guys bring the old look it is much better

As much as I'd like to see the old look again, I don't think I'll be sitting fine with the idea that everyone's Shaft will look like that (considering its infamous reputation back in pre-rebalance). Maybe for an XT reskin sometime in the future.

3. Introduce variable focus [manual zoom level or blurring?] so that the user needs to change focus to see who is near or far.

I'd start paying again if they exchange the laser for falloff and wind (though it'd be a bit odd considering Shaft's projectile is a hybrid laser/accelerated ricochet shot)

shaft is useless at high ranks

i was always a shaft user till about major rank

and i enjoyed using it

im now a fully maxed out thunder m3 user with my maxed m2 mammoth

i have used this weapon for a few months now and its a beast to use in nearly all maps and types of battle

today for a bit of fun i thought i would try my maxed m2 shaft in a seruhov ctf

well let me tell you this

playing with shaft at higher ranks was a complete disaster

i was basically just a sitting duck

higher ranked players have a knack of knowing were you are no matter how much you move around

i will deffinetly be using my thunder from now on a least i have a chance of defending myself

i was thinking of buying a m3 shaft

but i will give it a miss i think

things were bad enough using shaft until that stupid lazer was added to it

remove the lazer and i might be tempted again

So, anyone here already got the hang of mouse controls on Shaft? With the right click + look around feature, it'd be pretty nifty to have a wider FOV, but the clunky mechanics sometimes get in the way (P.S. I thought there was gonna be a fix soon they said).

Shaft is OP, because there is many ways to shoot it, you can shoot it arcade or use the scope and with the scope you can change how much power you put into each shot.  Thats why shaft is so good: its adaptable to any situation in any battle, its long, mid and close range.  Its low damage, but fast rate of fire, but its also high damage, slow rate of fire.  It just does whatever you want it to.

Shaft FTW
