Prodigi's protection against Firebird and to some extent against Rail is kinda useless while Jade offers very good protection against Shaft, Smoke, Thunder and Hammer, all of these can be lethal turrets against a shafter, also fulling muing jade will give both smoky and shaft at 50% off.

Protection from Smoky: (25% → 50%)

Protection from Thunder: (12% → 23%)

Protection from Shaft: (45% → 50%)

Protection from Hammer: (15% → 23%)

I still wanna discuss if there is any other paint which can be better than jade when shaft is you main?

I don't think there is any. Graffiti is pretty good too, but it's ugly and useless at blending in with surroundings in any situation.

Winter is second in my opinion

I agree KID95 that taking out two tanks with one arcade mode shot is very cool but most of the time tanks won't be standing together, so it's really rare and if you have and aportunity try it.

Shaft has become useless. It's reload time is insanely long and it is far from the efficiency it used to be. That's so sad because I developed my rank with it and it was my favorite and actually the only turret I liked and wanted to play with.

Now I play freeze and have even started to like the silly DM game mode. How sick is that!

Megh. As a Veteran Shafter I have no idea what you are talking of...when in doubt Mu. An appreciable increase in turning speed and decrease in reload would've been easy to Mu before the Mu update, but still, a few Mu's should help you out. What modification of Shaft are you using? What's your Mu level?

M3, MU 2/50.

I don't think MUs are a solution to anything (maybe just a couple of first ones are worth buying as they are cheap) because they will be far more expensive than buying the next M level - though M3 is the last one I guess.

M3 Shaft is still good at my rank. The only tanks that give any trouble are ones with a specific paint against shaft (Winter, Jade). Then again, that can be said for any turret. You do have to MU to keep it relevant since it unlocks relatively early compared to other turrets, but if you stick with it, you can get to M4 early. I have 40 MUs on mine and it gets the job done. It can kill light and medium hulls easy, while damaging heavy hulls a lot. If you fight druggers, it is one of the most efficient weapons to kill them since all you need is DD. Many cases, you can shoot down drugger with all 3 supplies activated and kill them with DD before they even get a chance to repair.

I have M4 Shaft, and it's a great leap forward from the normal M3 Shaft.

For starters, it's damage jumps from 221 to 280.

Think of all the M3 Vikings you can one shot!

Well, just snagged my M3, we'll see, but the first run seems like AWESOMENESS!

Okay, bragging over, as you all were.

Well, congrats! You better start MUing it, base M3 Shaft is pretty weak.

Already started, but stopped abruptly, the first two MU's were fine, but then the angle gets steep, QUICK.  EXPENSIVE.
