Having fun with new Shaft ^^

 

Good Game! I still need getting use to lower damage, but for sure, it is more powerful now than before rebalance due to faster reload. And normal shots are fixed damage now, which is perfect! See you soon again.

i use it with mammoth and i own everywhere. thinking about getting m1 shaft when it goes on sale during halloween  :ph34r:   :lol:

ill be sad when they nerf it down though  :angry:  :(

Yes shaft is OP at the lower ranks, but gets hard to play with at higher ranks.

It's still quite powerful. I mean, the turn speed and power charge is faster. n fact I think they increased the damage a little

Are you sure? How many fireballs do you need to kill a wasp? How many smoky shots? How many thunder shots? Shaft can cause less damage in greater time of all of them. I have to go on sniping mode (waiting for a certain period of time) or to give small arcade shots in greater reload time of course. Why should I need so much time to cause a damage that a thunder causes with 1 or 2 simple press of space bar at almost the same distance?

This is my point (I have posted it again extensively and I do not like to repeat myself): Shaft was a one shot kill weapon because it was the most inflexible. They all discuss about its power but none about its inflexibility. Why should I use a weapon of a reload time of a shaft with the cause damage and distance of thunder? In a few words, I wouldn't cry for the lost power but I deserve a brave reduce of the reload time.

The Shaft even after the update is still rather powerful. In fact I wasn't affected by the changes, other than a couple missed shots due to the increased turn speed. the charging up is much faster too, so a little slower reload and a hardly notable change in damage is fine by me! I mean last night I got 47 kills and 1 death on Stadium CTF! Shaft is a really good gun if used right, not saying you don't use it right! But I can give you a few tips and tricks that may help you survive in the battle longer.

Anyone else noticing new glitch with shaft? 

 

There is known glitch, when you spawn, your turret rotates in random direction without you pressing anything and you have to push arrow key to correct direction to stop it - it's actually double glitch - when you spawn and then again when you go to snipe mode. 

 

Anyway, now there is ANOTHER one. If i could live with rotating glitch, the new one makes gameplay unfair. I done about 10 hours after rebalance, so this wasn't just lag or ''bad luck''. I call it ''ghost bullet''. it didn't happen THAT MUCH in bigger map CTF battles, about 2-3 times only, but when playing poly DM, it occured at least 9 times during 15 minutes. Anyway, you spawn, go to snipe mode, wait for it to charge, shoot and bullet doesn't do any damage. Just goes thru opponent and that is it. I DID NOT MISS! Yes, I could mistake when shooting long distance as I can not see if it is doing any damage, but this happened also in close range.

 

Could any dev look into it? As rebalance just happened, I am not mad or furious, just letting you know about this, so this could be fixed.

I have a question In the last update why deleted DOUBLE KILLS IN SHAFT weapon The shaft has become bad You should rest the previous characteristics You do not you give importance to the Shaft You only develop railgun Positive But Shaf Just going to be negative like Add laser and delete Double kills I'm a .professional in this weapon has become weak in comparison to other weapons Without the use of double damage The result disastrous If the enemy used protection result without comment .just Give the shaft right Did you see a sniper have laser in her weapon ? Opposite the sniper always be hidden .Return Previous properties .Please reply to my question .anyone who has the same problem or liked my suggestion puts Likes.

This is a new glitch.  On my shaft acc some of the shots don't register when I'm fully charged, scoped in, a shoot an m0 hornet at point-blank range. The shot just dissapear.

I don't think this is unique to shaft. Have had this happen with smoky and isida.

 

Same thing with my turrets in Tanki-X. Every spawn the turret rotates on it's own until you press z or x key (or c)

Well that is not what he is talking about.  Everyone knows this glitch, it's annoying but not totally game-changing and unfair.

 

THe new glitch where your shots just disappear or don't register is very unfair and frustrating, and they need to fix it fast.

I also feel that removing multi kills with shaft is also kind of unfair. I loved that! Rail still has it ...

They removed the Penetrating Power entirely.

 

Then they turned around and buffed the Rail's. Rail's penetarting Power is now 100% at m4.

 

Disapointed.

Rail M4s Penetration was always at 100%.

 

Anyways, the current Shaft almost perfectly fits my playstyle so no problems there. Heck, arcade Shaft M4 does more DPS than Thunder M4 on big maps so that's a plus. ^_^

 

My only gripe with the update, however, is when my shots randomly disappear when in scope mode. It rarely happens to me but when it does, it happens at the most inopportune times. I hope the developers look into this ASAP. As for the turret turning glitch, I do not experience it at all since I use mouse controls now.

Shaft after rebalance became one of the most usless weapons if you don't use power-ups, fully loaded it cannot kill a viking M3

After the 2016 rebalance I can't even one-shot Hunter now. Before this I was able to one-shot Hunter and Dictator but not Viking

Rail M4s Penetration was always at 100%.

I do agree, shaft is better for my playing style aswell now, but I so miss those triple/double kills when playing DM :) Pulled 86 score yesterday in Poly DM 15 mintue battle, this is my best one ever and should of been at least +8 due to ghost bullet glitch.

Let us accept it. We are not the target group of the designers from marketing point of view. They had better work for kids seeking easy kills with excercised fingers on the keyboard. Playing this game quite a long, I also have excercised fingers and I am impressed of how easy kills you can have with railgun or thunder in comparison with shaft. With shaft you have to think where to stand before you shoot, you have to predict the enemy move and give yourself enough time to snipe. You can't play in any map. Of course you can use arcade shots and I agreee that the new style enpowering arcades fits the mobile shafters like me and many others. However, my above point is also true. So leaving aside the recent changes for a while and looking at the great picture, shaft has been nerfed a lot and we all know that the reason is the cry of the kids.

 

"Kids" means all these players (no matter of what age), chewing while playing and moving fast their fingers (the only thing they can really do). They want to get easy victories, shouting in the chat "without me we would loose" or "how pro am I?" or "look at me, I am fighting 1 vs 3", drugging a lot and unable to accept that sometimes we may loose in any game we play.

 

Playing shaft (in a helpful way for your team) needs iron nerves and to be a good tactician. This is not easy.

 

I share your point about drugs. Now a drugged enemy cannot be killed by an undrugged shaft and once the surprise is lost for the shafter, shaft is easy target. So, if your enemy drugs, you also have to drug. I do not like this. I would prefer a game based on real skills (in fingures and mind).

 

You may ask me, "why don't you change weapon?" Because first of all this is a game and a game means fun. Shaft has fun for me and I love it. If I leave shaft, I will leave tanki.

Ughh what on earth is TO doing to this weapon? In the past two years, never have I seen a turret changed so much. First the laser, then they lower to overall sniping damage, then they increase the arcade damage, and now they're lowering the damage per shot and increasing the arcade shot damage. I honestly don't really care for the arcade shot, I only use it if I'm attacked when I don't want to be, or if I'm finishing off a medium hull (Hunter/Viking).

I love the Shaft...well I did before the rebalance...my near M2 level M1 is now equal to an M0 near M1 for damage. Thanks a lot to the devs who no longer know how to do their jobs.

But most hulls got decreased hp too.  Personally I think shaft is UP at the higher ranks...But a skilled shaft will learn to manage...
