Liked and subscribed to that theory, .

Founder and CEO of that theory, @Tidebreaker.

I feel as if devs are giving us crappy sales now so we can get like 90% off on TO's Birthday or something.

Who knows.

Ooh, ooh, I know! They're going to give the same bad sales on the birthday too!

I've been forgetting that I've played with you - why do you use black on your Shaft/Hunter? And that sickening Mammoth/Vulcan... it's so OP on @Renomen that I rage quit while on your team :|

So that's what got you frustrated? Heh, this Vulcan buff is doing wonders. I could have waited until i ranked up again to buy M1 Vulcan but I want to speed up the process to M2 Vulcan so I purchased the harvester Kit that was finally in the garage. It's not much of an increase in damage between M1 and M2 but it's a damage increase and that is always good.

I usually don't necessarily care about paints. I like to strap on the basic paints and I chose black that day.

Also, this was the result of the battle you rage quit in:

Lol, that was probably my worst non-lag battle ever. Too bad, but it's ridiculous how OP your tank was. That has got to change, at those ranks. M1s dominating? Do none of the new players have ANY skill,or are they little kids relying on drugs and ODs to get a kill or two per game?

As I had said, there are a lot of light hulls in my battles and that is what gets me the fast kills. There are a good few of them who would circle me and I can't do anything about it because my Mammoth's turning speed and my Vulcan's rotation speed is too slow to catch up to them. That is one of my combo's weaknesses.

With the Shaft buff, I'm making more of an effort to do to Shafts what Vulcans do to me. That is continuously rock the Shaft's tank forward and backward by taking your aim off of them and then putting it back on quickly and repeatedly. So far, it hasn't been working out.

You know it's not OK when you can one-shot this guy with Light Capacitors...

I'm pretty sure that's ok. Shaft is able to kill all medium hulls in one hit right? Well put double damage on and it's 2x overkill. If you decrease the damage by 30%, it would still kill them as the damage decrease isn't over 50%. So that's perfectly normal.

Bought Light Capacitores after 5 minutes of contemplating. It's nice to have but frankly, It doesn't fit my playstyle. I tried to couple it with Hunter's Overdrive but Short Band Emitters does the same job that LC does when it comes to quickscoping.

I don't really have much use for Heavy Capacitors now since I can now one-shot any M3 medium hull. I've been seeing way more medium hulls than heavy hulls so it doesn't warrant me to equip it. Assault Emitters is still my go-to alteration.

I was talking about the Hunter M0....

Light Capacitors isn't the best fit on Hunter anymore, but it is on Hornet. Just the sheer amount of kills you can get is why I've been rocking Hornet for a while now. Nobody expects you to be effective, and the fact that everyone equips Speed Boost when they spawn just gives you those free kills.

I notice a lot of people are reading this, so I'll go ahead and say that my current setup (Hornet-Shaft) is great with the new Overdrives.

Light Capacitors seal the deal, allowing you to quickly take people out. The fast reload speed of Shaft's arcade shots makes you competitive with Thunder's, too.

If you are a a mobile sniper at heart, don't miss this opportunity...

That's me right there.

In case you guys are concerned or curious, it is Rapid-Fire Mode that will be getting the 30% nerf in sniping damage, not Heavy Capacitors.

WTF!  Are you serious I read the release note and it had typos and was messed up, only mentions of heavy caps.  Rapid is getting hammered?!!!

So yeah, it's true, the technical patch notes have no typos. http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=380411

This is absolutely ridiculous.  What the point of giving me more shots, it all together I lose nearly an entire shots worth of damage now?

I rarely get burned on purchases because I'm very careful about what I buy.  This time, they burned me.

Calm down scooter, even my Sledgehammer got nerfed.

Long story short: Got nerfed? Deal with it.

But Alternativa seriously need to decrease the range penalty back to 90% though.

Dude, anytime Shafts begin to get even a small leg up again and start competing they pull this crap.

Did I NOT just applaud them for giving us a Shaft that was useful again with Hornet?  And hell, that was hull turret specific.  No, here we go again, Heavy Cap players, screwed, no Heavy Hull killer.  Mobile Snipers, screwed, no more defensive capabilities and barely able to cap mediums.  We just go around preying on half damaged enemies or set them up for team mates to take our kills.

It's BS, pure and simple, flat out.

How so?

Stock = 3300 after the 10% increase.  3300 + 25% = 4125.   Heavy Hull = 4000.   4125 > 4000 ... no?

Okay, so in a perfect world, with full charge, no problem, but people could use Heavy Caps to quickly lay down pain without a full charge.  I know, 125 ain't much in the scheme of things, but its still just right over barely.  the game is getting too fast paced for camping out on perfect shots.  Something I've noticed too.  Lots of players now that don't stop forward movement, they shoot and move, and never stop.  A mammy or Titan, whatever, but still, nothing is calm enough hardly ever anymore for those awesome well planned shots.  You gotta take them where you can get them with shaft now, no more loitering and picking and choosing, you'll be there all day, or hunted down and destroyed.

I will eventually max out all the junk I have now, and crystals will pile up, and that's the next turret I thought about buying, just to try it out.  Wanted to get cyclone for it and watch the rockets go,go,go.

I saw a guy playing shaft wasp an completely dominating. Not camping, attacking. K/d of 2+ in several battles.

What alt would best serve that roll and any tips on how to use shaft without camping

Buy lots and lots of heal up and some drone that increases survivability, you're gonna need it.  Hornets running around maps in shafts aren't known for "dominating" as you say, so whoever that was, they were "paying to win," rest assured of that.  Oh, and every maxed protection module you can imagine, they're gonna be visiting the garage every game they play.
