The paint sale is coming soon, so I think I'm getting Dirty. It's great for general purpose Shaft protection. I'm going to need to wait until Lieutenant Colonel to get a paint with more Shaft protection that Dirty.

I'm still going to be using Lead for camping, though; it blends in really well with grassy backgrounds, and the good (20% protection) helps in case someone discovers you.

...you MU like crazy...

actually i didnt mu the shaft protection

10% Shaft protection does not do much.

26% on Dirty is both noticeable and useful. If I put it on my M1 Dictator, I have about 236.25 points of health against Shafts; that's enough to withstand M3 Shaft.

it's enough to make an m1 viking survive an m2 shaft though.

well,my viking, idk abt non mued ones, mine has 181 hp cx

According to my calculation, a M2 shaft can 1 shot a M3 Mammoth (with no MU / no paint) using double power and at least 5/26 MU.

Did I do the math correctly? :)

That sounds about right.

@Tankimedic: they are right my m2 shaft with a DP is one dmg. from killing m3 mammoth.

I wouldn't say my shaft is the stuff of legends, but it certainly does a very (very) good job of destroying an enemy team.

Congrats again Medic on the rank-up

M1-A2's M2 Shaft is the thing of legends, from what I can tell.

Anyway, congrats on ranking, Medic. I bet your kit helped your ranking speed a lot.

Dirty is a great paint. Good protection at a low price :) M1 wasp with dirty can survive (with a lot of MU on both paint and hull) a M2 shaft.

Best case, it can survive a M2 fully MU hit  ;)

I'm definitely getting Dirty when the paint sale comes, since it's quite cheap, has good protection against Shaft, and has good camo in dirt environments. Anything else that you would recommend at my rank? I'm not interested in Roger or Python.

In the non-protective paint department, I'm getting Orange. Mostly for parkour, since it's quite visible if you need to have a video or something.

Our parkour paint is Forester :P

Back to Shaft: Wasp Shaft can truly dominate large maps.

Orange is more visible than Forester on many maps, so I think it's the best if you want to do a video demonstration.

Wasp-Shaft can wreak havoc against an unprepared enemy team. Large maps generally have a lot of bushy/forested areas to snipe from; get a good camouflage paint, and the enemy team will grow paranoid.

I like to use Wasp-Shaft on Lost Temple. Plenty of targets to shoot at along with lots and lots of bushes. On the summer variant, I use Lead, since it blends in with the grass really well. On the winter variant, I use Tundra, since it's good camo and the extra protection really comes in handy.

If I become a newspaper reporter, I should write an updated guide for camouflage. Hogree's guide from Issue 7 is useful, but some of the information is outdated.
