Shaft: a weapon for the patient and perseverant. My highest D/L was with shaft, 47 (47 kills and 1 loss). And with shaft I also had twice immortality (no D/L at all) B)

never upgraded shaft from m0. in my opinion, rail is 100 times better :P

Sorry, but I must disagree. Shaft is an awesome weapon to kill by surprise without being seen if you know how to snipe and find the perfect spot to camp. Take it from someone who've been using shaft for the most part of his Tanki life and knows how to wield it with uttermost skill  B)

^ Yeah, Shaft doesn't fit my playstyle of sitting around and camping. IMO the only thing good about the Shaft is when you piss wasps and hornets off by destroying them when they spawn. And then they leave  :P

having shaft as enemy in kungur NS is really annoying .

I just finished a match in Kungur, CTF, full of Generalissimos... at least 5 of them on each team were full-time drugging the entire match. I took screenies so you can see the score progressing, and my amount of drugs are unchanged.

Btw, this is my FIRST time playing in Kungur with my new M2 Shaft... not a drug was used. And you can see another Major on the enemies team, same rank as me... so you can see how I perform in comparison to others at my rank.

5 Screenshots in chronological order from Kungur CTF

M2 Shaft + M2 hunter... I love it. This is the first of many screenshots to come! :) I managed more than a handful of 30-0 K/Ds, a 48-0 K/D... (these were sometimes done with 2-3 double powers used) But its amazing how I can hang with the M3 druggers...

I love how it annoys people too LOL

Rail is better but guess what.

IMO shaft makes you leave battles too quickly out of annoyance

Rail can't kill druggers like yourself very easily. Its damage spike is too low. Shaft on the other hand, when many mammy druggers are coming at your base, they save their HP kit for when they are on the last quarter of health, to make full use of their kit. This is when I strike... 195 damage to them, and their first aid kit is wasted. This is one of many reasons why I love my M2 shaft :D #Gamechanger

If I were to get Shaft, it'd be my TDM'ing gun.

I actually find it to be much more useful in CTF mode. The reason for this is because often, people target you less and are more focused on eliminating flag holders, druggers, and people who are 'in their way.' In CTF mode, often you can sit in various places, a bit off to the side from the action points in a map, and you can easily go unseen. Also, since its about securing kills, rather than damaging them, shaft is an extremely good kill-secure weapon. Its high damage spike can often ensure that the enemy will die from your hit. In comparison to other weapons in CTF, you are much less likely to be kill-stolen when using Shaft. Another reason is that in TDM mode, often the weapons that have the highest damage per second (DPS) come out on top... because score is determined by how much damage you do over time, rather than number of kills. Thunder, twins, and firebird (At M2) are usually the best at doing this, since thunder has splash damage, twins has no reload, and firebird can wreak havoc upon multiple enemies at once, and cause damage even after you die. I also find TDM to be a bit boring, especially if the score has a large gap in it, since there is no excitement of killing priority targets. There is less strategy to it in my opinion, and there is little sense of urgency. In CTF mode, there are often 'choke' points where the enemy is required to pass through in order to enter your base. If you position a shaft in one of these places, you are a much greater help to your team.

Yes, in TDM, you will do better by having a great K/D ratio, helping your team in that regard, but if your damage done per second is significantly lower, then you will struggle to keep up with other weapons who are constantly dealing damage the entire match.

Just an opinion though.

Well u May "shaft" other drugger like this but not me.

You see I carry prodigi for two reasons.

1. Becuase shafts always do what yu do.

2. Remaine has got railgun m2 so I can't go to sleep without my prodigi ;(

Anyway it has shaft 15 percent and u always look for 2 weopons before I start drugging in a match....

1 freeze- if there's too many and not enough isida on my team I leave.....

2 if there are shafts. These don't p me off as much becuase 15 percent protection helps and goes a long way

Sue other serial drugger,, not me ;)

No doubt, shaft is a formidable weapon, depending on y our playing style: it's not for everyone.

The difficult part is fighting off short range weapons but something you can do to help that situation is face them dead on when they come towards you, lay a mine and back off. They will follow you to attack you and hopefully get a good bit of damage to their hull.

As for the rail gun vs shaft comment somewhere above, you can't really say one is better than the other, it all depends on your playing style.

One thing I love doing to rails are to wait till they're about to shoot and hit them right at the top of the turret so they miss you because of the power of the shaft shot.
