Shaft is for coward noobs who don't know how to play the game. They hide in their little holes like the cowards they are and get kills off good players who are out fighting the enemy and trying to win the game. Then a lot of them have mamy so they can stay alive longer because they know they are weak cowards.

Lmao, I have gotten kill streaks on close range battles without ever camping. Cool your jets kiddo.

Has anyone played with the shaft alterations? Are they any good?

I am closing in on enough crystals for the alterations and was wondering what you all experienced.

My shaft is m3 15/50

thanks,

enri

Dunno, every Alteration comes with a significant drawback. I prefer to play without Alterations and keep the turret's versatility (if you can call Shaft versatile).

indeed

I bought Assault emitters. "maybe" its the only one from the two worthing. it does what it says. but it depends on your game stile. my opinion don't bye any of them.

I have just realized that the recent reduction in ability for shaft to aim high has forever altered long used defensive locations for me on Rio and Opposition. I am extremely disappointed in these changes and do not see the benefit.  Basically they neuter shaft on Opposition and eliminate defense on the roofs from the ground.  Please return the shaft ability to aim higher.

You have my full support. :) Either they make it so that a Shaft isn't completely blind and clueless in scope mode, (which doesn't help the team) or buff it[scope mode] in another way.

With the area damage they finally gave high-tier Twins a disadvantage in close range against Freeze/Fire. It's a step in the right direction.

Wow the amount of people that dislike shaft is surprisingly high i personally like shaft the most because 1. i was a "legendary" gun 2. Its pretty powerful 3. i like the idea of being the support class in ctf 4. TDM could easily be dominated by shafts given that the teamates arent jacka**es and yeah thats all i have to say overall shaft is nightmarishly effective when the team is coordinated and composed of good players and has a good mix of classes ( my personal tick is when someone in the enemy team is hard to kill and someone in the team says "take him out" and i go on in my head " roger that" idk why dont judge me  :P

IMO the vertical auto-aim nerf of Shaft was the strongest one of all the auto-aim nerfs in the past time. Not only by numbers, but rather because of Shaft's enforced inability to rock the hull while sniping (unlike Railgun).

I have enjoyed playing more in arcade mode however. Rocking in that mode is the only way on several maps (think Rio) to reach the rooftops now;( The combo of being able to snipe and then hit long range quick shots at 600+ is super versatile and fun. Not to mention if you can pick up a DD you are to be feared in arcade mode...

Shaft is the best turret if you want a great k/d.   Shaft can get fun, especially if the opposing team has a bunch of lighter hull players.  Overal, shaft is ***** when you're getting killed by them, but it is just wonderful when they're on your team.

Same problem is with vulcan. I have no idea why tanki reducing vertical auto-aim. Surely nerf of vulcan is bigger

Vulcan's aim was lowered by 4° (up 13 -> 9 and down 16 -> 12) and Shaft's aim was lowered by 5° (up 12 -> 7 and down 15 -> 10). Vulcan has at least a theoretical chance to use rocking the hull, which Shaft doesn't have). But you're right, that both nerfs were strong and for both turrets rocking the hull is no real option. I don't know the motivation for the auto-aim nerfs either, maybe Hazel has some kind of strategic restructuring plans behind again, but what does it help to know the movitation...

I really don't understand the point of lowering the damage in arcade mode, it's literally already weak as is. I wish this game would stop constantly changing things.

I bought the M2 alteration this sale and I am totally not satisfied. I bought it because Shaft M4 did 2400 sniping damage +30% = 3120. That is slightly more than enough to 1 shot M4 medium hulls. Due to the very long power up time you literally do less damage so I think the alteration was pretty bad. Two days later they increase the damage from 2400 - 3000. What a waste of 80k :(

How y'all feel about the new shaft update? Seems to me like it was significantly buffed.

I may get shaft m2 when I unlock it if there is a good sale going on,

I have been able to get numerous kills with the shaft post rebalance. The arcade mode is my preferred mode now. It deals solid damage at great distance with no warning to the enemy;) It also allows for a simple sniper followed immediately by arcade shot which finishes off heavy hulls at m2 level. I enjoy playing with it more now than ever.

I hate to hear that. It is one of the things that makes me consider ditching tanki at times. I choose a hull/turret based on a set of data and then after upgrades, etc. they change all of the data. Reminds me of the "Who moved the Cheese" book from  a few years back.:(
