yes it could...

heavy capacitors already deals 3900 damage

i understand what they're doing, they're making shaft able to one shot heavy hulls with heavy capacitors woohoo :D

I used to want that for heavy capacitors, but now I feel like there'll be heavy capacitors users everywhere.

Flavour of the month.

last month it was triple-shot - which they are finally nerfing some...

And at mid-ranks medium hulls won't stand a chance.  HC available fairly early and not many players have > 30% module at that rank.

Well that explained it. The damage increase I saw was from my Driver drone being fully upgraded. I always wondered what those two extra parameters on each drone were for. I thought they were just visual errors or features that were supposed to be implemented somewhere else.

5% of 3,000 is 150..

I don't see why with double damage, it's still 6,150. It should be 6,300.

Edit: So yeah, if your Heavy Capacitors Shaft has an almost M4 Drone, then it's goodbye heavy hulls.

I'm not able to 1 shot vikings with drones anymore because of health buff, which negates the use of having an m4 - maybe that's why they are going to buff sniping damage

They aren't. What I saw was just the damage increase from the fully upgraded Driver drone I had equipped when I was using Shaft.

Shaft is really and truly the only turret that would be harshly affected by this. It was made to one-shot medium hulls from full health but you can't even do that anymore since they have drones now.

I've been upgrading my M2 Shaft and I see a lot of Hunter + Destabilisation Railguns with the Assault Drones. I was able to kill most of them before but today, almost every Hunter I tried to one-shot survived because I just barely saw the drone when I was zoomed in.

I guess we're going to need drones to stay competitive and they cost batteries.. and 2 million to upgrade

I protest! I do not support drones at all! Not everyone will buy them. But everyone will get OD regardless what.

Bruh, you have your M4 Eagle to save you. LOL, only Hornet/Shaft can K.O you.

Frozen, I haven't had time to test this yet, but have you tested if Hornet's OD can deal regular damage to Mammoth and Titan while they're using their own OD? It seems like it should....

First of all, congo on your rankup! I forgot to do this earlier... (now we can at least play in a squad)

Hunter-Railguns with Destabilization are a bunch of buyers who really don't have skill. The damage scatter seems like it always gives >1500 damage without DD. Really, the only solution I have against this is to become more aggressive than them. Two more ranks and you can get RFM, but for now just use your own Hunter's OD and lay waste to them. It seems like Railguns are now much more of campers than Shaft players... Use that to your own benefit.

Short-band Emitters will help you confirm the kills when you've successfully EMP'd that Railgun. The reason why I consider this is better is because MU'd Hunter M3's will have 2647 HP, which can take up to 3 shots to kill, compared to Short-band's 2 shots. Once again, your choice.

Hornet's OD is only effective against Titan's dome, Double Armor and module.

Ain't working against Mammoth's OD however. Did that once with Shaft M2 DD.... no damage still.

Maybe..... Hornet's can ignore Godmode_On's protection!

So, thoughts on Overdrives.

Well, I won't say much because EVERY TIME I DO,

NO JOKE,

its like they're watching and reading and using me as bell weather for what to change vs the rest of the game (yeah yeah, I'm not that important, but, for once, I'm gonna not say anything and see if karma has anything to do with this)

Suffice to say I was worried beyond mention that the drugging and the overdrives combined with drones was going to spell the end for non-heavy buyer based players.  I was pleasantly wrong.  It is well balanced and for the record, it would appear that the game in general seems to be more equitable in terms of ability to perform with any given turret.  That said, of course I have run into buyer-club types that are all organized and basically dropping at least few dollars a game, per player, in terms of resources used, to win, but even then, this change hasn't been bad.

One draw back I've found, and I don't think it's intended, but, gameplay is ridiculously fast as of the OD intro.  Tanks move faster, seems like rockets fly faster, everything seems much faster.  Shafts have slower turning turrets, so it can be a little frustrating, but its not so bad as to warrant a complaint.

Kudos to the team, they really got this right (though I am still very unhappy about some of the ODs, they too unrealistic)

For Shaft, of course, this is a hull discussion, but I've seen all types of Shafts now, people capitalizing on the hull OD for a certain type of Shaft play.  I was on a team with FIVE shafts the other day, and we won!  That's pretty unheard of.

So yeah for Tanki ODs, it has taken no life from the game.

Nope. I DO NOT want to get any GARBAGE XTs.

XT is not something I dwell on much, but, since all I play is Shaft, I was hoping I might get it someday in a box.  I'd imagine I'd use it barely.  I got Cherry yesterday, it was fun, for about two games, then back to real camo.  I might play again in it just for the Lulz.

Thank you :).

I don't know why but I seem to mostly see Destabilisation Railguns on Legacy Hornets. There were days where Destabilisation Railguns were ONLY found on Legacy Hornets. I have those images burnt into my mind of them driving perpendicular to me while charging up their Railgun and I would either miss my scoped shot because of the impact force or I would kill them right before they shoot me. A lot of them have Legacy Railgun as well which only makes them stand out more to me. I see a good set with XT Hunters but the majority I encounter are on Legacy Hornets.

The damage scatter seems like it has been negatively skewed since it came out. Too many times I've decided to put on double armour instead of risking not killing them with double damage when I attempt to quickscope them and it would take away what would approximately 2,200 damage. All of them are at least M2. I assume that they're M3 (You'd never know because the damage scatter for Railgun is so huge, you can't tell). M3 Railgun with Destabilisation would deal, at most, 2,404 damage. They get more than 2,000 damage from one shot so many times it's unbearable.

They stay a sizable distance away from me so I can't hit them with my Hunter's Overdrive. Even then, many melee-ranged turrets invade my base and I would need to use it on them.

I use Short-band Emitters not only for its increase in arcade damage, but also for its increase in minimum sniping damage. It's really good for quickscoping since you can kill them slightly faster than Stock Shaft. The reload time bothers me sometimes though. I'm so accustomed to Stock or Heavy Capactiors Shaft that I get impatient when I don't shoot another acrade shot when I expected it to. At least the damage helps me one-shot M1 light hulls. That's super helpful.

Yes, I take two shots to kill M2 medium hulls which is rather nice.

One of the pet peeves I have when playing Shaft is enemy smart enemy Vulcans who would shoot me when I'm aiming, aim somewhere close to my tank, and then aim at my tank again. What happens is that my aim would keep rocking every time they take off their aim on me and put it back on.

I've tried this with Vulcan on my lower account and it seemed to work around 30% of the time. Perhaps they still hit me because I use Mammoth facing foward which would give them an ample amount of my hitbox for their pleasure.
