Thank you :).

I don't know why but I seem to mostly see Destabilisation Railguns on Legacy Hornets. There were days where Destabilisation Railguns were ONLY found on Legacy Hornets. I have those images burnt into my mind of them driving perpendicular to me while charging up their Railgun and I would either miss my scoped shot because of the impact force or I would kill them right before they shoot me. A lot of them have Legacy Railgun as well which only makes them stand out more to me. I see a good set with XT Hunters but the majority I encounter are on Legacy Hornets.

I use Short-band Emitters not only for its increase in arcade damage, but also for its increase in minimum sniping damage. It's really good for quickscoping since you can kill them slightly faster than Stock Shaft. The reload time bothers me sometimes though. I'm so accustomed to Stock or Heavy Capacitor Shaft that I get impatient when I don't shoot another arcade shot when I expected it to. At least the damage helps me one-shot M1 light hulls. That's super helpful.

Aye.... buyers (just kidding). But I tried M4 Viking-Railgun (my favorite Railgun combination) with Destabilized Round back in the Test Server. Dang, like you said, impact force is ANOTHER factor to prove it is OP.

Alternations is supposed to have strength and drawback...

Destabilisation does have a drawback and a pretty bad one too. What makes this drawback become non-existent is the seemingly negatively skewed damage distribution that may be hidden from us by the developers because they refuse to be transparent with their own game.

Experienced it just now. If you're in sniping mode and an enemy Hunter EMPs you, it would take you out of sniping mode with your energy bar being instantly reloaded so you can enter sniping mode immediately as the EMP's effects wear off.

Hmm, very interesting.

I bought Destabilized Round, LCR and EMS (in full price), all of them have strength and weakness.

Tested as Viking-Railgun, LCR is reliable increased damage (although its slower reload).

Destabilized Round..... most of time I dealt average damage of M2 Railgun. Rarely high or low.

EMS... spam that shot boi!

Anyways.... should I upgrade my setup to M3?????

EMS is one of the best alterations to use with Viking's Overdrive. I believe that alterations shouldn't affect the projectiles when using Viking's Overdrives. Viking's Overdrive favours alterations over other sand the Stock version. Minus-Field Stabilisation is better than Stock with the Overdrive because it can reach twice as longer without much decrease in the firing rate.

EMS is great because it already does A LOT of damage with the damage increase from the Overdrive + it has a very fast reload and shot delay which means you're pumping out more damage even faster and you have way more room for aiming error than with Large Calibre Rounds + the Overdrive.

I don't think i've encountered a Rapid-Fire Mode Shaft using the Viking alteration but I assume that, Like Autocannon SMoky, its projectiles are converted to the Stock Version when using the Overdrive.

I would very slowly upgrade because it is crucial to one-shot M1 10/10 Vikings. It's only 100 crystals for the first upgrade anyway. That's not much considering you have so many crystals. At 2/10 upgrades, it should be able to deal with the M1 10/10 Vikings. Hornet has a large increase in stats from M2 to M3 compared to Wasp. You should upgrade it a few times.

I thought you were a Shaft-Hornet main... Hornet absolutely demolishes if you camp and pick people off with OD.

You're right, RFM is overruled by the OD. I remember this from the Test Server. It's better to use Assault Emitters as it gives more damage and no fire rate penalty, too.

I like Wasp more than Hornet with Railgun because it's more maneuverable and stable than Hornet. Your choice, though.

Ok. So Imma Hornet to M2 1/10 and Shaft to. That should be good.

Yeah I am. But I also use other combination.

It is finally the balance we needed.  A way to use a Shaft as it was meant, ie, one shot stop nearly anything.  Zoom, pick, destroy.  It's a sniper weapon FINALLY again.

Only get maybe twice a game, three if you're lucky, but, when that Mammy is coming for the flag and you can wait for it's OD to wear off, OD yourself, and do the magic that is Shaft, it puts the turret back into the game like it should.

Got zapped forthe first time 2 days ago by a Hunter.  Gotta say, it's annoying AF.  But what's worse, is getting zapped by a Freeze, that's just WRONG (kidding, it's cool, but still, talk about death sentence).

Back to shaft though, yeah, all you folks that were wondering if you should break it back out and take it for a spin, if you got Hornet, your in for some "good old times".

I should have bought M2 Hornet during both of those 30% sales that passed recently. It's cheap and the Overdrive is really nice and also charges fast. I would only use it in certain situations (where I know that enemies wouldn't sneak up on me or care to sneak up on me) and I would finally be able to help my team with my Overdrive. I don't like that I can get 5-6 kills without having a need to use my Overdrive. That's almost 80-90% of an extra Overdrive  could have had but I don't get to use the first one because no one would be around to. That was a problem I had when they were releasing the Overdrives - My Hunter wouldn't be able to use its Overdrive to the fullest (I don't like to go on reckless offensive raids in the enemy base with Shaft, I prefer sniping).

I waited two weeks for good kits that I would like to come in the garage  but was disappointed two weeks straight. I'll buy M2 Hornet soon so I can have another hull M2 hull to use besides Hunter.

If there are too many heavy hulls, I use Heavy Capacitors. Because I knew how much HP M2 Mammoth had from trying to upgrade it to M1 10/10 on my lower account, I had realised that with heavy capacitors, my Shaft is able to kill an M2 Mammoth and a Stock M2 Titan. Definitely good for taking down slightly wounded heavy hulls that are a nuisance to my team.

On an unrelated note, zapping multiple enemies when they're drugged up while taking no damage at all before they get stunned in MM is sooooo satisfying. I even became addicted to doing stuff like this in Silence parkours.

Just wait for Tanki's Birthday sale. Hope it's gonna be 50% off!

My patience is thin right now. I can't wait that long. Plus I got exams starting at the end of April so I may not be on often or may entirely miss the sales (depending on how severe distractions may be).

Ouch! When will the exams end? Right now I have time since I have 10 days of spring breaks

They're on separate days but I would need to be studying during the days I'm not there. My last exam is on June 7th.

RIP..... I mean you can log in to the game and get Hornet M2. Without playing.

Dude, someone is looking to spam the tanki forums and crash it I think.

While some of his replies in the "Turrets and Hulls" subtopic do seem like spam, some of them are his opinions about them.

Has this happened before? (Someone spamming and crashing the forum because of it)
