I hate fighting against people with Dirty paint if I'm using Shaft for obvious reasons. It's also hard to see, so if you're camping in a dirt area (no trees), it gives you pretty good camo.

 

If you can't afford Dirty, Lead helps as well. A M0 Viking with Lead can survive a single M1 Shaft shot.

and If my friend buys the crys he promised, I will buy an XP-m1 just for him.(with his own money of course xD)

score multiplier pass, gives you 30%mor exp, like if you cap a flag and it should give you 100xp, it gives you 140 xp xD

but it doesnt affect your score in team battles(the sore U bring up by TAB) :D

there were times i equipped lead(full micro ed in discount)someone took our flag,our guys were chasing him,

I wanted to shoot him,but a shaft(m? I donno)hitted me and left with a very little health

(If I hadent lead,i was cooked there, but anyways,I targeted and shooted him before the shaft got another shot nad killed me,

and that dude was destroyed and our flag was returned,

 

SO dont come and say LEAD is bad and USEless ;)

Me and lead have been through a lot like running through the red team desperately to get the capture the flag while at the mercy of three shafts . I hit me and i survived a isida was following me so i got healed and then a shaft missed me by a few millimetres , i was practically driving over the mark of the shaft shot and a shaft shot me and i literraly had maybe less than 5 hp because a twins came in and one shot me because MR . Isida was healing a titan on the side ( failed in fly hacking ) So say what you want but lead is awesome.

And lead is an ineffective paint at many levels, especially if you use hornet. It is bad paint if you think about it:

-It is as ugly as **** That's a matter of opinion. I really like the looks of it. Even if you don't like the looks of it, it's good camouflage if you're on a grass background.

-Does not have other protection (essential for them heavies, for close-quarters combat) if you are a yolo-style guy. (it is good for campers tho) What kind of person would put Lead on a tank and then charge forward? Lead is best used for snipers who need to be able to survive the occasional Shaft hit, not the person who YOLOs it and runs into the enemy base. If you want to do that, use Dragon or Storm. You can't expect every paint to work  well in every situation.

-Is terrible on hornets Protections are based on percentages. You won't see much of a difference on a light hull, but you'll notice on heavier hulls.

-even if protected will still leave you at very low health, a sitting duck for others. (forester is better as it makes you survive 1-2 more shot w/ m1 rail v m0 hornet, lead has guarantee of 0-1 only.) I get one hit kills all the time with my M1 Rail against M0 Hornets with Forester. Also, low health is better than no health. If you can survive one shot, that lets you take out the other Shaft, as I've done multiple times.

-is expensive as there are few(er) shafts for 3000 (for low ranks) It's actually only 2000 crystals, which is a pretty good price. Also, there are quite a few Shafts at low ranks.

-Is useless the instant you are in the enemy base (shaft will never get you) Depends. Often Shafts will keep an eye on their flag, in which case this could come in handy assuming you have a medium hull.

-there will probably be no shaft anyway. Uh, no. It's very common. In every Rio match I go to, there is at least one Shaft.

-if at low rank you can get a Bundle of paints and hulls w/ dirty (20% shaft+ 9% other, I forgot what it is) for 9k, a big bargain. Some might not be interested in the other paints.

-You will not survive/ low chance with a shaft one mark above you You're probably not going to survive a shot from a Shaft one mark above you no matter what paint you have, unless your hull has quite a bit of health or you're at a higher rank where the other Shaft protection paints become a lot better.

Lead isn't as good as its older brother Dirty, but it's certainly far from useless.
