Honestly, in ranks lower than Warrant Officer 5, the Shaft is kinda overpowered. Say in Moon Silence, once shafts have gotten into the right position, it becomes a bottle neck on the map and they instantly kill you as anyone tries to push on forward in the game :/ Kinda lame if you ask me... besides tell them to get some skills, all those people do is get a mamouth and sit and farm kills, no real skill need to get top scores :P

Yesterday I was playing a kungur NS with some friends, enemies has two shafts.. we kept getting killed and finished the battle 0-0, most of us had hornet so shafts could one-shot us.. It was really annoying.

You can get barely killed with shaft in CTFs, it can prevent the opponent from killing you first, you can also get alot of kills with it as a very powerful gun. Take this screenshot as an example.

Shaft is good in CTF's too!

It's even more annoying if they leave with 0 HP left, just like them Railguns.

I totally agree with this. When you die, you can respawn with full health, but once this happens, they just leave you half dead.

Shaft's damage dealed to a tank is the same no matter the distance. Now the amount it'll damage depends on how long you charge it. I can kill close targets easily. It's just a matter of combining your movements and predicting your opponents movement. I aim ahead of the target and he simply drives in front of my cross-hair and by the time he does my gun is charged enough to either kill him or deal great damage where then a simply non-scoped shot will finish him off.

shaft is awsome for kill stealing before i was this rank at wo5 i got i think about 42 kills and one death, and that was with hornet

My best stats was no D/L at all (aka immortality :P) 47 kills, 0 loss  B)

That might be your opinion but I'm a pro shaft sniper and with shaft is where I score the highest. "Shafting" is not just camping and waiting, it also requires high skills to anticipate your opponents moves thus knowing where to keep your cross-hair aimed while "eagle-eyeing" a specific spot/area. You're vulnerability is the highest of all guns since your angle of sight, though zoomed in closer to your opponent and easier to hit your target, it is much smaller than any other guns. It takes patience, total alert to your surroundings so you're not caught unawares, and, theoretically speaking, reading your opponents mind of where and how he moves....among much other explanations of which it would take me too much time to explain. ;)

Shaft is awesome with low ranks. I entered a battle with 10 min remaining and my team leading by 2/3 flags. Killed 23 people, overtook everyone, and stole the measly majority of 196 crys. :)

it's even more awesome and annoying at higher ranks

Well.. Methinks I've said this before but if you get it early (as soon as it unlocks) you'll be top dog in all battles (barring DMs)

I got it early on my alt

When it's first upgraded to m1, shaft is very good, however then it starts losing its effectiveness as viking m1, hunter m2, and more powerful hulls and paints are unlocked, but at major where it can be upgraded to m2, it gets much more effective, being able to one-shot hornets through protection paint, but still not as good as its prime during the m1 stages.

I'd say shaft is a never-dying/never-effectiveness-loosing gun. It kings over all the other guns (in its same M) no matter its M. For me the only difference with each upgrade of the gun is its increase of turning speed, damage dealed, and reload time which makes it better by each upgrade. I still have M1 but once I get M2 it'll simply make me adore it even more than I already do  :D

If you like shaft, definitely get it to m2 asap, it's very good, and it looks awesome.

But first I want to get M2 Mammoth.

Yeah but i don't camp really so railgun suits me more.

Camping is for the patient and enduring.
