This turret needs to be updated , it went from super op to average. i remember the days when i pressed alt shift

And  destroyed every tank on the map 2 times over with ease while multitasking.

How about leaving it the way it is so players who "got destroyed 2 times over while the Twins was multitasking" can actually have a chance now.

I don't have Twins protection and I'm not looking to invest in it. The thing that infuriates me about Twins is its unnecessarily strong impact force.

Twins impact force is good only against light hulls , but it was really nerfed sometime back, beside lots of tankers

Have twins protection now which made the turret really average.

Did you want it to barely go up against protection? Some turrets are balanced because protection against it is common. Turrets like Twins, Thunder and Firebird (not really but let's just go with it :/ ) are in this category. If everyone were to not use Thunder protection, then Thunder would dominate; the same thing applies for Twins and Firebird.

My Titan still gets knocked around by them. And I'm talking about unaltered Twins, not Stable Plasma Twins. It has some serious stopping power if the Twins is shooting at front of an approaching enemy. A lot of Twins players still come first in DM when they use the Stable Plasma or Heavy Plasmagun alteration. I never see an Unaltered Twins come first or even in the Top 3 in DM despite having splash damage to kill multiple enemies at once.

That is probably the worst place to use Twins, in my experience.  With other players having Twins protection as you say, you have no advantage from taking them on head-on.  From the side you can at least make it difficult for light hulls to target you.

Mid hulls and above, forget it.  Twins no longer has much impact force to do much to the bigger hulls and I'm astonished your Titan being knocked around - I have Twins 20/20 and it can't knock anything bigger than Hunter around, even with the (long range) Accelerator alt.

Currently I feel Twins has been nerfed to the point where it's pretty much not viable as an attack turret, which is why I've moved over to Thunder as a sniper, because going on attack with Twins mostly ends with it being outgunned.

What buff do you suggest?

What buff do you suggest?

faster turret rotation is the first thing that comes to my mind , the turret rotates very slow and it's becomes apparent in

very close range combat when a medium or light hull makes a maneuver.

Auto aim angle also became so limited a larger auto aim angle would also be much appreciated.

What else do you think should be buffed ?

Impact force.  Until a year or so ago I could flip a Hornet if it strayed in front of me with the Plasma Accelerator alt.  Now it can barely flip Wasp, and that's only if Wasp is already airborne.

Being able to flip hulls was an indication of Twins' power, and impact force was (for me) the main benefit of Twins - it could make it very hard for other hulls to target you, as you could turn them sideways with the impact force of Twins.

That no longer happens, so the one main benefit Twins used to have over other hulls and turrets is.... now gone.

I think allot of turrets lost their impact not only twins, also hulls got heavier

Like ricochet could take your tank up walls in silence with wasp before, railgun could flip light hulls when they were moving etc

What about them? if twins get impact force back maybe they should too

Step aside twins, there's a new brick turret in town, and it's called auto cannon smoky.

Not enough of them in battles to be a big enough problem to need to equip a Dolphin mod, yet.

That honour goes to Hammer, Rico and Thunder for me.

I love how the Smoky brigade stick theirs on Hunters.  No match for Splash n Dash.

Since Hunter is way more stable than Viking - it allows smoky to land a lot more of its many shots.

Viking only has speed advantage on larger maps where max speed comes into play. Hunter actually has better acceleration.

That's all very nice, obvs I'm just finding the ones not using said acceleration.

I can never understand the ones, seeing a long pink stream of shots coming at them, that seem stunned enough not to move to the side.

Worst twins alteration is Heavy plasmagun.

Spent 45k crys on 50% off sale to get a crap alteration.

CHANGE MY MIND.

I'm not going to try and change your mind because it is in fact an underwhelming alteration, which is impractical for most situations. Stabilized plasma is by far the most useful alt. for Twins, if you don't have it already then you've made a big mistake not buying it.

I'm wondering why it's a big mistake though. Is Stock Twins not good enough? I like the idea of splash damage for an infinitely-shooting turret. I see many instances where Stock Twins would prevail over Stable Plasma Twins.

What exactly was your reason for buying the alteration? What motivated you to buy the alteration?

I think plasma accelerators would do better in MM maps, being able to fight at range is a great upgrade.

I would choose that alteration as well. Hits pretty far and I can disrupt their balance from further away, not to mention splash damage as well.
