I got so much points, because brought one flag and killed most of enemies who touched our flag. K/D isn't very important here, your primary goal is catching and slowing down

Ok bye guys I'm quitting Tanki. It was nice knowing you for a while.

So maybe penetration.. or partially penetration is a good candidate for M3 alternation :P

 

Nah honestly..

The freeze alternation with increaseing the max-dmg-range + limiting the cone was usefull.. and now with missing penetration.. it is kind of crap. From now on you need the cone to deal damage on multiple targets.

And light hulls will have a harder life using Freeze, as they can not hide themselfes as efficient

 

What about a dictator.. it has a high mounted turret.

It could deal damage to two tanks, as it hit's the second one from above :p

I've noticed that the Freeze effect at M3 is non existent when your opponent has a module and/or double armor.

Freeze effect needs to be stronger at m3 and weaker at m0/m1.  Many players I know have been asking for this, but the developers seem to think a consistent level of freezing makes sense.

I was looking at the alteration for freeze. With the penetration power removed, high pressure pump is now only good for range, right?

 

And what is up with the pricing on alterations? More expensive than the turret itself??? :blink:

it increases only the damage withing your range, as it extend the [very short range] within you can deal [max damage]. So the advantage reduces down to the very first second of your aproach and the start of your attack, while you are not yet in max_damage_range.

 

While it was a cool thing with penetration, it is not so nice without penetration now. The cone angle of 20 degrees seems truely needed now, in order to target two targets at once without penetration.

Freeze/Wasp is good for stopping people who took your team's flag on CTF, what with the fact it's fast and with the near instant freezing the player won't be able to do a thing about it! Also, if you have an Isida/Wasp follow him around he won't have to worry much about dying. Get some snipers to watch over and protect them they can take the flag as well.

 

Smoky is good for close range support so they can try and stop any attackers.

Freeze/wasp is not the best for defending.  Freeze/viking is much better.  Viking has decent speed to chase down runaways but the extra armor really counts when a full-on drugger comes in.  Plus, the freezing is not near instant now.  Freeze/wasp is only good for midfield and intercepting flag takers.

 

Best 5-tank defense in medium/large maps.:

 

Viking-freeze

Dictator-twins

titan-vulcan

Hunter-Isida

mammoth-shaft.
