*Tanki dev explains in livestream he doesn't want to nerf Magnums damage because changing damage is 'boring'*

"Freeze is not that good so lets buff damage with 30%"

Wait that's literally what the devs said in the Friday raw live stream?

Actually, because of the Freeze buff, other turrets are slightly buffed as well since now one of the three slots is now taken up by Freeze protection.

This is true, a huge buff actually.. people underestimate the power of protection modules

You raise popularity of a turret: more protection modules are bought. The poor indivual gets absolutely crushed.

Luckely we have only 3 protections so other turrets have more chance indeed.

FREEZE TOO OVERPOWERED like whaattt???
How can the TO community not see this. Everyone uses the freeze, because at least they are not blind like the TO creators. They see that it's 100% the best weapon in the game. Fix this please thank you

I have a few questions about the Freeze Alternations here

• Alterations of various rank can be stacked upon one another. Alterations of the same rank, however, cannot stack, and must be used individually. (from wiki)

Does this mean I will be able to use both, the M1 and M2, alternations at the same time?

Is it correct if I say that I will be able to deal 1100 dmg/sec at range 20 meters with fully upgraded M3 Freeze and both Alternations equipped?

Edit: yes

Now the Freeze is even more op then I thought it was

More OP damage-wise yes.

But... no more slowing enemies and you are likely only hitting 1 tank at a time.

Good for a "duel" but less useful in battles like CTF.

I do realise what the disadvanteges are

Anyway, what do you mean by only hitting 1 tank at a time?

from wiki: Cone angle can make it harder to attack targets on a different level of elevation.

I thought the cone angle reduction applies only horizontally, is it reduced vertically too?

I'm not entirely sure - thought it narrowed it to reduce ability to hit multiple tanks - but I could be wrong. Hopefully someone who actually bought it can confirm.

You're missing out. It's there to exploit.. I'd work on your Freeze MU's if I were you.

I sure did the same when Magnum got introduced. Protection paints were nowhere to be found because everyone had to invest crystals in Magnums and protection paints. It took a while.. the same will happen to Freeze.

I have no protection against Freeze yet, it hurts. So I go with the system and upgrade Freeze and protection to make the most out of it.

Right now players still need to adapt on this MASSIVE buff, the ripple effect is destroying the whole balance and everyone desperately tries to buy Freezers and protection only to find out it'll be nerfed again.

But this is the moment for buyers; players who already have lots of turrets, to make their move and gain some extremely easy crystals. I did it with Magnum and I loved it.

I might upgrade it to 10/20 but I don't really like freeze. I prefer rico/twins/hammer.

ugly turret that outclasses short range weapons cuz it deals huge dps for 7 seconds to every1, while making you unable to attack or move cuz freezing effect. This turret has so much damage that without freezing effect would be still op. needs a nerf

I'll buy the M1 alteration, dealing partial damage sucks, and there's no major downside for me since I play mostly on flat maps. I just wish Freezing effect increased according to modification level.

The freezing should be buffed just like Afterburn of Fire

the Freezeing shall damage them

I don't know what they did. I used Freeze before the upgrade, I'll still use it after the downgrade.

 A few weeks ago they buffed it ~ 30% so M3 did ~ 870 dmg/second.

They lowered that buff to 18% so now Freeze does ~ 790 at M3.  But I think they increased the energy supply from 7 sec to 8 sec.

Total damage was 6090.  Now it's more like 6320.  So a trade-off.

On a tangent - I seemed to be dying from firebird more often - they just hit-and-run and let the afterburn kill you.

I just finished a few battles and the afterburn was brutal. One problem for me is I am trying to master the vulcan (which can create its own heat if not used properly)...so combine my own overheating with the afterburn of the firebird and my titan melts in 2 seconds:(
