What do you think about the Titan OD ?

i feel it is too much , Titan already has a load of HP + a Force field ? =

IDK have never played TX how does it work there ?

While I haven't played with the Titan OD, it seems like it will make Titan the premier defensive hull...perfect for flag squatting, assault protection, Control Point domination, etc. I think it would be awesome if it was mobile, but it seems it will be a dome of domination that is static. Sit on flag, hit DD and wait for OD to charge up. Add a supporting Isida and it should get very hard to take a flag

Oh Ooof

They are trying to give each  hull a Specific role

If that's the case MM need's to be reworked

A paramater should be added such that all Hull's of all class will be on each team

Titan beats mammoth is everyway now, it is faster than mammoth and it can push mammoth.

Mammoth is only better in its shape and size

At m3 where items equalize, Mammoth has better...

- Lateral Acceleration (which I take to be "acceleration")

- Weight

- Power

With better weight & power I don't see how Titan can push mammoth. Mammoth will also be more stable when confronting turrets with high impact like Twins.

Mammoth would be better at short distances due to better acceleration.  Longer distances Titan's better top speed comes into play.

I know that wiki says that mammoth has better stats for pushing and I also believed mammoth could push titan until I saw and tried it myself in game you should try it too, Titan pushes Mammoth

I think it has something to do with speed or shape of titan but you should test it

Also I think both Titan and Mammoth are stable enough but maybe Mammoth is better in short maps like Island

I have to admit - I'm going by stats in the WIKI, and WIKI might be wrong.

And TO has some odd (and frustrating) physics

However, what you see could also be explained by MUs or M-level.  Hard to tell in battle with the useless GS score....

Titan. I think that Titan is probably the best hull in the game even though everyone else seems to think mammoth is better but it does have quite a few advantages.

1. It has quite a bit of armor.

2. And also its free at the beginning of the game.

3. It's also good when paired with vulcan.

Disadvantages.

1. Medium to low speed.

2. Hard to move in tight spaces.

3. Since it's big it makes an EASY target.

So, that's all for now ill see you all later.  ;) byeee!!

Comparing M4 stats of Mammoth and Titan by using the wiki and google:

Titan has 8.33% more speed than Mammoth.

Titan has 5.26% less weight than Mammoth.

Titan has 7.14% less power than Mammoth.

I got some formulas that use the above variables, momentum and resultant force involve them:

* Considering momentum Titan will win by a small margin. (Momentum=Mass*Velocity)

* Considering the resultant force the Mammoth will exert a higher force. (Force=Power/Velocity) or F=ma but straight line acceleration is not given in the wiki..

Okay so here I don't get it, what exact formulas do they use to determine who pushes who and what variables influence them the most? A higher resultant force favoring Mammoth means that it should definitely push Titan, and I don't get how momentum helps, but many people are saying that Titan actually pushes Mammoth.

Basically none.

I've seen a  hornet push a Titan.   I've seen Vikings flip Hunters.  I've spawned "on top" of tanks and self-destructed.

None of it makes any sense.

Previously in old hull statistics titan could push mammoth to make the game sort of balanced

my theory is that devs added slight more weight and power to mammoth so mammoth could push titan but wasn't enough, titan is now faster than mammoth and can push it too..

even with slight power/weight advantage this game is very glitchy I doubt it would be that useful

why do they make you self-destruct if you are on top of a tank? ive always thought it was to deal with fly hacking but i guess its a glitch

Biggest difference between the 2 is the smaller footprint of titan vs the turret placement of mammoth . Mammoth is therefore better at defensive role , he can fast peak around corner and place a shot ( higher acceleration then titan also ) . Titan is better around playfield , still slow , heavy hull , but very good midfield , and can handle some serious impacts . Its footprint makes at drive around like a medium hull .

I've looked into it a lot when i was going m3 to buy which one , since i had/have medium level m2 mammoth  , and i saw the titans drive by . I saw some Russian youtube comparisons , same lvls , and try out different things and the difference besides those mentioned are extremely small ( not enough to make difference ) . They were crossing silence map , and the difference in speed was like just the tankdistance . Jumping down in Silence the mammoth got bigger frontweight , so it flips easier but again , not huge difference . Yes the titan could push the mammoth head to head and head to side ,  better then opposite but again not much difference .

With new overdrive titan will be better at defending because of force-shield it gives itself and teammates

It's overdrive field generator thing better not last the whole match, because that would make many battles incredibly unbalanced.

I don't think any of the OD will last more than a few seconds, but I might be wrong. Perhaps someone "in the know" could chime in here:)

And if it does, you'll only need to remember that hunter has the overdrive that can disable overdrive, put supplies on cool down, and stop tanks in their tracks.

If it DOES last all match, then they should make it where Titan's Overdrive cannot begin charging until the generator is destroyed by a Hunter's Overdrive or a player. Oh, that reminds me, the shield generator should be able to be destroyed by the enemies' shots. (Just for balance)

Forgot about that, should work just fine, except that my Hunter is m0 lol

I really like the idea of being capable to destroy it, but still I hope it won't last the whole game.

Now that I think of it Titan's overdrive would be really useful with Vulcan incendiary band because of its healing ability.

It might heal you - but - are you still technically overheating?  IE... 70% damage nerf?

On similar topic... I guess Mammoth OD would prevent that damage?  Wonder if that is also technically still overheating...

I know it doesn't overheat technically with viking and it does overheat with titan but not sure about mammoth, the main weapon is the hull when I have to overdrive equipped  :P
