I'm using it with Gauss (wish there was a field to tick that and vote) and it's better than with Viking.

What I don't kill with Gauss, I kill with the overdrive.  Win-win.

Wasp OD is near useless.  It needs either a bigger range to kill/damage or a shorter timer.  Nearly everyone can avoid it, even mammoth.

after the new indicator update they can avoid wasp bombs unless they sneak up on them

You can't just plant a bomb and expect to get kills. You have to use it with planning. Use it with freeze, use it in siege, use it on the gold box drop or use it under a Titan's dome. I use wasp and there is no need to buff the bomb in anyway.

Indeed. The change to allow it to deal full damage under a titan dome already gave it a boost.

I can answer this. Im bad at driving.

seriously tho, not sure why so few ppl use this hull. When I see a good wasp player, they almost always are very effective and disruptive.

example: i was playing assault as the attacker vs two freeze wasps...I couldnt ever get to the defending base before Id get frozen. Id kill them a lot but they kept coming!

we lost

Seeing a LOT more freeze immunity hull augments these days... must be nice...

See, I dunno why they picked on one specific turret to give an augment for. Its like if they sold a "twins immunity" augment

I see what you mean.  It's like the EMP immunities as well.  Hunter was singled out for a bonus OD nerf - until they added AP immunity.  But can't buy that yet, even with TKs.

Devs are purposely boosting specific hulls/turrets while giving the shaft to others.  I mean look at the favoritism shown during the double-health.  Good luck to hammers unless you equip the 5-shot augment and have maybe booster.

HCAC was already amazing prior to this, but it's effectiveness now is at an all-time high.

What's spectacular now is Cyclone. I don't even need to elaborate any further, it's literally the best thing right now.

How you figure?  During this "experiment" it's barely holding it's own. 

10k damage before a clip reload - but that's only 5k when there's DA. And takes 7.2 seconds to do that 5k.

What am I missing here?

I forgot to mention that this is with Booster. Another thing I should probably mention is that this should be used primarily with Hunter's OD so that you can shut down multiple people at once.

After playing this game for many years I have this observation.   When a fellow player is using "Wasp" hull I find they are almost always a very competent player.   In a game I may be playing with a lot of incompetent players BUT I can always count on a Wasp to help me win the game.   Just an observation.

From my experience, I'd say that Wasp is the most polarizing hull when it comes to a player's skill/competence. A lot of Wasp players (especially the low rank, low GS ones that get put with Legends) are bottom-of-the-barrel, lights-are-on-but-nobody's-home bots that don't even turn their turret. But at the same time, there are also lot of Wasp players that really know what they are doing and can run flags and place effective bombs with ease.

Maybe Wasp has a steep learning curve due to its weight, HP, and the strategy required in using the OD?

Its hard charging in that close if many are aiming in different directions.
