I think my highest ever score was 505 points, and that was obtained recently by using this hull. Also in that same match I may have not killed more than 5 enemies!

Funny how they changed Dictator right after that topic I made about it.

We ended up winning, but the fact that Titan is able to disable allies' domes is so much unnecessary stress. This was the battle.

And it lasted long as well. Was surprised at how little points they got at the end but then remembered that we had constant domes and Dictators giving us Overdrives + me and the Viking Isida healing, so yeah, the end result was understandable .

So what it looks like is that Dictator is dominating in the lower ranks. At legend, I've seen dictators come on top a few times but certainly not as often as vikings and hornets, so I'd suggest its fine here. Perhaps the scoring could scale

The only thing that made dictator worthwhile over the other two medium hull was it's HP advantage. But devs took that away, just like they take away all good things and put in less desired things.

Yes, in pure stats, viking is the best hull and top players know that. Overdrives make up for that but dictator needs a good OD to make up for vik's goodness

And I think it does, considering that it effectively charges twice as fast as Viking's. I can recruit teammates as impromptu bodyguards when I share my Overdrive with them. Dictators can also turn the tide of battles because it directly influences what is used to win battles. 

 

Overdrives need to be taken into consideration when buying or using a hull. Different hulls + Overdrives require different playstyles. You may have to play more reserved and team-reliant when using Dictator over Viking or Wasp. And the reward for that would be a more confident team because they got boosted by you. A secondary advantage is your teammates giving you flags to capture (only those who can afford to though). 

 

What would be a good OD for Dictator to make up for Viking's goodness? I want to believe that the devs thought of giving Dictator its own Overdrive before making the decision to recycle the old one, and on that specific hull as well.

I like its current OD. I also like that it gets points for giving OD to teamates. A smaller score would be fine, but I think thats still an important part

I love using Dictator for the stability (especially with Vulcan), but more so because I get to directly support teammates- my preferred playstyle. Sometimes I see myself lagging behind in score because of the Overdrives I give to Hornets, Wasps and Vikings. Other times, I still end up 1st because I can also play aggressively with more confidence due to the higher stability.

I love dictator too as it gives you the extra points which is a lot. And you also help your teammates in the process. I think that pretty much any turret goes with this hull.

It took me days to figure out how so many are getting high scores in MM, till yesterday I figured it out... Dictator! I've been using my m1 dictator in legend battles and finishing 1st most the time. ? I believe they will nerf the points received in the future 1000+ scores in 6min battles are wild.

Went on the Russian forum, saw a thread about Dictator's Overdrive in Assault. The OP included these screenshots of people with no kills and a few deaths, but a ridiculous amount of points. They're Schrodinger's Mults: They don't contribute to the objective, but give other people drugs so they can contribute, even with the Dictators' sole motive of free points and crystals.

In the first one they could be Isida-dictators with healing alt that continuously keeps defenders alive and boosts them - the team did win.  So they obviously contributed to the battle-mode main mission.

In the second one - same thing - as defenders... every time they use the OD (likely in base where most tanks are) they are pumping up the defense (tanks, mines, etc) - blue is defender... no?  Looks like it was a close battle that Red won this time.

 

It's obvious that the scoring for dictator is too high.  But to suggest the dictators were not contributing to the win is - IMO - not really accurate.

With a score of 10-per instead of 25-per I'll bet the results would look more reasonable.

How are these scores possible...if I use my overdrive 3x and get 4 players each time, that only 300 points.....lets say i get all 7. Thats what, 500 points? Cant see where you get 3k or even more than 1k without lots of kills

Hello please check this topic to get more informed about it, then you can calculate how much dictator's overdrive gives you out of your final scores and make out some statistics to know how it works.

All I saw about dictator was that it gives 25 points per overdrive given, ergo my maths. 3x4x25=300. A score of 3000 would require 120 overdrives given, if we ignore other methods of gaining score which seems like a tiny number in coparrison. So, if you gave 120 people overdrive, lets say in every case you manage to give it to every person on your team, that would be 120/7=+-17...ergo this person used overdrive 17 times. As the user who gained 3000 score only had 2 kills and was using railgun, we know we arent dealing with isida. Even if we put 7 of those overdrives to equal capping flags or assisting in kills, 10 overdrives is a TON

I think they capped a lot of flags like maybe 16 or more and was able grab the OD box a lot. So they got a lot of ODs out of all that action.

He was on the Blue team. Couldn't cap flags.

A combination of Mechanic and Dictator's Overdrive, like Maf said. Mechanic gives 10 points per player the effect is given to. On top of that, it also gives the user Overdrive charge for each player that it gives the effect to. I had 84% on my Titan dome and gave the effect to what looked like 3 players and I had it ready immediately. I will do some more testing to see if Wasp, Dictator and Mammoth receive 20% more Overdrive charge from this action compared to the others. 

 

It's a very favourable map as well - Osa. Most often, most of the blue team stay behind and help defend. You can gain a lot of points because of this. Then comes Mechanic, which gives 10 per player it reaches to. At 10/20, it has the same range as Dictator's Overdrive. In addition to the points, it gives Overdrive charge for the Dictator's Overdrive. So it can use it more often. And what more? Manually using supplies will decrease the Repair Kit's Cooldown by 10 seconds. Given that Dictator gets supplies from its Overdrive, byt the time those supplies run out, you would be able to activate the others to keep the repair kit cycle going. All of this combined gives you the incredible feat of 3k points in one battle.
