EMP means electromagnetic pulse .it basically disables your supplies and EMP immunity helps to prevent that

EMP Immunity keep you from losing your supplies. So Gauss's Electromagnetic Salvo augment won't have any special effect. Hunter's overdrive will still freeze you, but you keep your supplies. I don't know what Railgun and Shaft have to do with this.

Stun Immunity keeps you from being frozen. Gauss's Electromagnetic Salvo augment will take away your supplies. Hunter's overdrive will not freeze you in place, but you lose your supplies.

EMP is a generally known term and the referred page in the link perfectly explains what EMP is; it is a status-effect and it stands for Electro-Magnetic Pulse, i.o.w. it deactivates your supplies - this is caused by Gauss' augment "Electromagnetic Salvo" and Hunter's overdrive.
The hull's augment "EMP-immunity" cancels this effect, so you will not lose your supplies when being hit by Gauss' augment or Hunters OD. It does not have anything to do directly with sniping or lasers. 

The above-mentioned Wiki-page sums up all augments and states their stats and effects. Most things are explained clearly, I advise you to read it again so that you understand most of it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. 

As I have understand from your comments, you are not quite familiar with augments, status effects and characteristics of some turrets. I recommend you to check out the web-page https://en.tankiwiki.com/Augments again and read it carefully. Also, try looking at some other TO-Wiki-pages; they are really imformative if you want to know specific things about Tanki Online and specific turrets/hulls. ?

The Hunter Overdrive seems to be the counter to a lot of overdrives. It negates Wasp N-2 bomb, Titan's dome, stuns Mammoth,Viking and Hornet from moving/firing in its overdrive state for a few precious seconds, and in addition removes supplies from hulls that do not have EMP protection. Now it can also negate the Ares BFG Cannon plasma ball.

Unless she's wearing XT, she's not much to look at but she has it where it counts.

Nah, a murder hunter would be possible if they could do more than that, such as having the ability to take away a % of OD charge. (i.e I have 50% OD charge but when hunter activates OD, I would have less than 50% OD Charge)

Well... if you are close to mammoth and stun it you better kill it because it does not affect the active OD.

And hornet and viking should have no problem killing the hunter before it gets in range.  Also remember it has that stupid 1.1 second delay - I've died many a time trying to activate the OD - all because of that delay.

 

So the only hulls it can comfortably counter are wasp, Ares, Titan and dictator.  But because you can see the stars - if I'm dictator I dont even activate OD - save it.  Same for Titan - I've survived the stun at times and then flicked on dome and proceeded to kill the hunter.

The 1.1 second delay isn't that big of a deal. You just have to think in advance and time it. As a defender, I hide behind a house, activate OD and drive into the open to stun some attackers. On offense, you just gotta go for it! I've failed a few times but the delay isn't all that bad! It's actually really cool to be able to activate it early and close the gap on opponents. I dunno, maybe that's just me.

I kinda feel bummed out about the ability to see enemy OD statuses. There's no more element of surprise when you banzai with Hunter.

What do you all think?

On the HTML5 version, Hunter's OD should temporarily disable radar on stunned units for like 10 sec or smt. Probably wouldn't do much, but why not?

Hunter's old M2 skin (Mk 4 - 6 nowadays, o7) is growing on me. I really like it. Actually, most of the M2 skins are siiiiiiiiiick. love em.

Nope, he's more of a Dictator+EMP Gauss type. Probably worse than Hornet+Magnum to be honest. Really loathe when this type of player comes crying on the forum... I mean, they're exactly the type who take advantage of everything wrong with the game, and then complain when their personal idea of what should be meta isn't met.

I too have heard EMP gauss guys with EMP immunity telling that they hate hunter OD...

Feels so bad when wasp bomb gets blown up by hunter when I am about to get 5 kills, i would suggest an update, hunter overdrive should only freeze the time of the bomb and reset it, not completely break it, same with ares OD, it should just stun the plasma ball and not make it disappear...

I don't mind Hunter's OD so much anymore. I got EMP Immunity and/or Stun Immunity on most of my hulls which is a huge game changer.

Ah. Well please don't go complaining about certain messed up mechanics if you are not going to condemn the ones you take advantage of. For me it's simply incendiary mix and hornet od plus sledgehammer and hornet od again. I didn't seek to play these combos sheerly for their overpowered nature though. Both I've had for years. Hornet was my only M2 hull anyway.

Also understand almost no f2p player will be able to get the emp immunity to simply block the imbalances the devs add.

I think that the overdrive of Hunter is too quick.

It should take atleast 3-4 hours before activating. You need to push the spacebar at 3 o'clock at night to make it work next morning at exactly 1ms after your death dealing no stun (which is the only thing it does) and the reload is again back to 0%.

 

And hopper stun is to late, it should happen even before the spacebar is pressed. And flying, stun & heating effect is not enough, it should also have freezing and should bury your tank 6 feet below the ground.

 

Thats why this game is best in the world.
