i think that rail is pretty good just time it right and make kills,when was goldbox alert i killed 3 druggers with a shoot o_O

Close Combat definately Isida, because of the self-healing you have way more chance to survive if you're under the gold, when your enemies are on longer range I think Smoky because it keeps his damage on long range and you have a chance of a lucky crit at the right moment, with this you can shoot someone just before they catch gold so you can grab it :)

Freeze kills every game. You aren't more likely to get the gold, as actually reaching it and securing it for yourself requires a gun with good recoil, such as Thunder, Smoky, Ricochet. You don't freeze your enemy, you push it away so they are forced to shoot in the opposite direction to regain their position. If you just freeze someone he will just sit there and keep shooting at you in your flimsy hornet (which I'm sure that most freezers use) until they knock you away or kill you. Moreover, freeze is useless in every situation in which the gold doesn't fall on the surface in front of you. The bridge on Silence is for people who can land on the platform without rolling over, something Freeze can't do. So ultimately you're just aggravating people even more which will result in a group attack against you. Experience, my friend.

The same can be said for a lot of other turrets; especially when they drug. Freeze is pretty minor, imo

Untrue; you can get the gold box with any gun; I mean, I've just proved you can even get it using Shaft with the picture above. And the close range turrets in general have just as much chance as the long-range turret. You're judging as if the only map that exists is Silence and that's not right. There are levels where long range excel and there are levels where close range excel and then there are the levels in which both are neutral. You can't base it off one map.

What? I didn't get that. No one needs to push any enemies away because if you're attacking someone when a gold box is about to fall, you really think people won't finish the job? They won't be pushed, they'll probably have to respawn...

Once again, he won't be sitting there at all since he'll be knocked out. And once again, when a gold box is about to fall, they will finish the job.

Um, that's based on the hulls you're using and if it's on the platform and you can't land on the platform successfully, jump down and get it before it reaches the ground; you'll self-destruct but whatevs.

With gold boxes, it's every man for themself; there aren't no group attacks and all the rules seem to go out the window. Ain't no one gonna team up specifically on you when a gold is about to drop. Not even in CTFs because if they do, they'll know someone can just nab the flag.

 

I've obtained many gold boxes with Freeze and so I don't believe it's a useless turret to use when a gold box is about to fall. That's just my two cents on what you've just said.

If gold box will be dropped soon, in my opinion, the best gun is THUNDER, because you can destroy more players than one near the goldbox (if they are in that place) :D.
