OMG same. My Mum gave me the same cut as my Dad - co-incidentally pretty much shaved it right off. I didn't wear a hat, but that was a month ago, and its only just now grown to what I normally cut it to!

Once its past my eyebrows (it is approaching that point again) I go in and get about 1-2 inches taken off. Never get a style, its just there. I'd let it grow long, but I think it would look kinda gross with my hair.

but really... I just have the ends of my hair trimmed.. ever 4-6 months or so... I did a stupid thing in January and I got bangs... it was a bad decision and they're still working on growing out.

I'd like to point out that I as a guy have had loads and loads of hair conversations with guys... hair is not a feminine subject at all, in my opinion. Just so you know, neither are shirt or shoe discussions... especially not shoes, shoes are pretty much a masculine area if any....

My Mum does it with a electronic haircutter. Normally get a 4 over the top, and 2 round the sides and at the back, a low shaved line. If that makes sense. Never been to the barber in my life.
