Actually I agree with this.

 

I think it would make a great update. On another forum (Enjin) they have a red "X" next to your name if you are banned.

I would suggest that the (banned) sign doesn't appear in the game, only if you try and talk to them.....embarrassment issues, you understand. :)

yes but the banned player can only post to his friends and if he is flooding they can click ignore...

Ok then, They can only send it to one person

I would say it does not appear unless you type the full nickname of who you want it to be shown to. I would not want it to be known to everyone that I am banned.

I wouldn't either, but that's the point. They add points to your karma for a reason, and this is just like the cherry on the ice cream. It has little effect but it changes the overall appearance of the ice cream. With this it is adding more embarrassment to your crime by letting everyone else know that you are banned. Sure it's embarrassing, but trust me, people learn from it when they don't want to be embarrassed. More discipline = more  mature community.

I still think that a different color or the added text "banned until.." in the TAB battle overview is the easier solution.

And if you thinkg about the blame you receive it other know you are banned:

- if they are nosy they cant ask you.. as you cant answer

- If they know you, they will greet you.. this is exactly why this thing is implemented

- if they don't know you, you don't have to care.. they don't know you anyways :) :)

 

But I like your idea. Sending messages to specific persons is a nice thing. But.. more complex to set up.
