u can still improve matchmaking just provide a bit more options to players . for example - after clicking the button for capture the flag mode make more options like short range map or medium range or long range map it would really provide the choice to players in regular battles . as of now u cannot just use the same kind of protections in both long and short range maps and all of a sudden we are shifted next game to a very big map so please look into this matter it can be really helpful . THINK  ABOUT IT . just add more options to joining battle thats all it will take to add choice to battles . PLEASE AND THANK YOU

But why do that?  The system offered all those advantages before. You could pick a map.  You could pick a team. The main reason people chose the WINNING team all the time is because the rewards for the losing team SUCKED.  But they evened that out, so they actually took a big step towards fixing that problem.  (Only took them a year and a half to do the obvious.)  

 

MatchMaker took choices away, added delay and instability and improved NOTHING.  Your proposal is like saying the old system worked, MatchMaker doesn't, so let's start adding in the bits of the old system that were different from MatchMaker until it's not MatchMaker any more.  Why mess with it?  Just remove MatchMaker and be DONE - or give people a choice to use it or not.  If they did that, only the noobs would use it... which is why they don't do it.  How embarrassing would it be for Tanki to introduce a gigantic piece of crap with all the effort and fanfare and have the entire Tanki community decide not to use it?  That's the real reason they won't give you any choice.

 

MatchMaker is the single DUMBEST thing Tanki has ever done.

stop making MMS seem so bad, its really not as bad as you make it seem, I agree, it aint good, but its better than what you describe it as

I'm not making it "seem so bad".  I'm just telling it like it is.  We are in now, what, the fourth evening in a row when the servers have been hosed?  Log in right now.  See how the software is broken.  You can't even see what your missions are.  You can't send a message in battle.  Chat doesn't even exist.  This is all part of Tanki effing around with the software - not testing anything - adding crap like MatchMaker - which doesn't work and makes the game worse - instead of FIXING BUGS.  Which is more important?  That Tanki add MatchMaker (which doesn't even work) or fix the bugs?  MatchMaker is terrible right to begin with because it takes away resources from fixing real problems and applies those resources to something that is a complete waste of time.

 

You think MatchMaker is great?  Give us some reasons why.  But before you start, understand you have to cite something that's so good it offsets

 

Delays - sometimes long delays - between games

The server bugs

The loss of choice of maps

 

And recognize that MatchMaker doesn't make battles more "even" or more "fair" - that the revised scoring process could have been accomplished without any of the excrement that is MatchMaker and people still abandon losing battles in an eyeblink.  The only difference there is MatchMaker dumps you into losing battles you would NEVER join if you could make your own choice (like an 8 v 2 Polygon CTF game with 9 minutes to go).

 

And while you're at it, try this:  I've said  MatchMaker is the worst change Tanki has ever made.  I stand by that.  You apparently disagree.  So give me an example of a worse change.  Just one example.  Should be easy if you're right.  If you can't, then just admit you're wrong - and that MatchMaker sucks worse than anything Tanki has ever done.

Tanki is dead again tonight.  Four nights in a row?  Earlier chat, and communications, and mission information and the garage were all dead, but now everything is dead.  The login screen consists of a cryptic "Please Enter your Invite Code and Keep It:" message.  That's it.  Otherwise dead.

 

Doing a great job at FAILING Tanki.  Why don't you just roll the software back to pre-MatchMaker?  You know - when it mostly worked?  All these "wonderful" updates are just making the game impossible to even play.

Being able to buy the interface from the shop. For example galaxy interface with stars everywhere? I dont know its a suggestion

 

But there should be eye protection interface or something

 

Custom interfaces are not a bad idea either..

What is an invite code? How do I get it? Why wasn't this announced? WTF?

Odds are, it's a little piece of code that Tanki never fixed.  They've added dog excrement upon cow excrement upon horse excrement and now the entire pile is steaming and stinking.  Most likely, the software is broken, they don't know how to fix it, and all the little gremlins they just wall-papered over are starting to come out and bite.  This is what happens when you don't test code before releasing it.  This is what happens when your focus is on adding new (and useless) features while never rooting out and stomping bugs.  All the bugs are coming out at once and as a result, Tanki is broken.  It was broken 4 nights ago, 3 nights ago, two nights ago and now it's broken tonight.  Not just a little damaged - broken.  Unplayable.  People ought to be questioning why they would ever send money to an organization that puts so little emphasis on quality.  Why send them money today when they very well may be gone tomorrow?

 

But do not expect Tanki to learn anything from this.  The one thing Tanki has proven is it is impervious to learning.

Another unhappy side effect of the recent updates is code instability. I haven't seen so many plug-in failures since Adobe put out a screwed up version of Flash almost a year ago. I am now averaging more than one plug-in falilure per session - that is, I may play 2, 3 4 games and everything is fine. Then, in the middle of a game, "plug-in failure" and the game crashes. Of course, this isn't as bad as the other failure mode - system crash. In the past year or so I've had perhaps one system crash that wasn't Tanki-related. But in the past two weeks, I've had more than four that WERE Tanki-related. I don't know whether this is a Flash problem, or a Tanki problem - but it's a problem. It's the sort of problem that is far, far FAR more important than adding useless crap like "MatchMaker". But apparently, Tanki doesn't fix bugs unless they prevent the game from working at all... which is another reason Tanki continues to go downhill.

My idea is to giving chance to sell unused or bored items.

 

In the Garage there will be a "sell" button next to the "Buy/Uprgade/Equp/ button. In this way i can sell my turrets, hulls, paint and etc..

 

Tanki would buy or buy back the item, for example in a half prize.

 

 

I really want this thing, because i want to sell some of my turrets, hulls, and paints. So I can get some crystals for theseand i can use it for buying a new turret/hull/paint.

 

 

If it possible please respond to my idea, i want to know, is it a good idea or not.

Yet more MatchMaker insanity!

 

MatchMaker was supposed to remove mults, right?  Well, what's the difference between having mults and having people on your team just leave?  Of course we had that before because the game rewards for the losing team were so bad that people left as soon as it looked like their team was behind.  But now they have NEW reasons to leave - MatchMaker dumps them in the middle of games they don't want to play on maps they didn't choose with huge differentials in player level.  Why the MIDDLE of a game?  Because people have already left the game (because it was unevern) so new players are just getting dumped into games where they will get slaughtered too - and leave. And it REALLY sucks if you have a mission that's "finish in the top three" because you're already part way through the game instead of starting at the beginning with everyone else.  All MatchMaker does is force people to join bad games!

 

I have gotten dumped into a game with TWO Major Generals on the other team.  That's EIGHT LEVELS up from 3LT.  That's MatchMaker making things more "even"?  I've noticed no improvement in game quality.  If anything, it has declined.  Before, if you got a really GOOD game, people would probably play a rematch.  Might even do it 2 or 3 or 4 times, because the games were so close and so much fun.  MatchMaker takes that all away.  Not only can you not play a rematch, you get dumped into a new map every game.  That creates new problems besides the obvious - you get dumped on a "long" map with short range weapons, or vice versa.  And there's the waiting time.  It used to be to play another game took 10 seconds.  TEN!  I have never gotten into a  MatchMaker-generated game in 10 seconds.  Waiting time is almost always  4 to 12 times that long. Nothing says "fun" like WAITING to play a game!  In some cases, waiting time has been so long that  the game timed out before I even got on the field. "You have been removed for inactivity!"  I had it happen FIVE TIMES yesterday alone!  In addition, because everyone has to download a NEW MAP every single game,   there is always lag at the beginning of a game.  You play a few seconds and then Tanki has to download a bit more map and you lag, and then you play a bit and more lag and more lag.  That used to happen under the old system too - but ONLY WHEN YOU CHANGED MAPS and only the first time you played a map.  If you played multiple games back-to-back on the same map, no lag in the second game and beyond.

 

Uneven battles.  No choice of maps. Battles we don't want to play. Delays getting into games. Getting dumped into bad games. No rematches of really good games.  Lag.  Any one of these reasons is a good enough to get rid of MatchMaker.  But taken together, only blind fools would keep it.

 

Get rid of MatchMaker.  It is the worst change in the history of Tanki.

There is nothing good about MatchMaker.  Some mistakenly think that the improved scoring (where even losing players who play well get more credit) is part of MatchMaker.  It's not.  It's a change that has been recommended - and ignored - for well over a year.

 

MatchMaker is pure crap.

the ability to send a small message of 100 characters with a battle inv, or for declining a battle inv

(so you dont miss a friends STG while ur doing missions, or to say your busy with your declined inv, it would help the battle community ALOT)

I think tanki should have a UTC clock built into event chat

This will help tanki because tankers will stop asking for time in chat so chat lag will be reduce as less people use it and event helpers can address things easier because of the reduced chat. This will also reduce chat lag because if the UTC clock is built-in, tankers won't have extra tabs so there will be less lag time between when event helpers address things and when tankers receive the message.

that would help any chat helper, but you could always just google, 21:00 UTC, as I always say, but overall this would help

its not a good idea, cos say your account gets hacked . . they can sell all your stuff, not good, but I would like this, but it wont happen

Protection display in PRO battle list

 

We all know that once inside a battle, you can press tab key to open up the scoreboard which also shows which players have how much protection against your turret. I thought it would be better if this could be implemented in the PRO battle list section. It's exactly the same as with the scoreboard. When you click on a battle, it shows numbers besides nicknames of players on both teams indicating protection against your currently equipped turret. This will better allow players to decide which team to join.

Not a good idea at all.

 

people will start just looking at the battles from outside because all buyers have higher protection modules and non-buyers are already leaving the game as you can see because MMS already destroyed it. this idea will demotivate the remaining non-buyers and they will start just looking battles from outside and join 50th battle they see in the link while buyers still won't care how much protection modules opponents have because they can change weapons and they can drug harder to win.
