I used to think this too, but to be honest, I changed my mind and don't think it's necessary. With the R/V menu it was often hard to read because it was moving all over the place and being obscured by objects. Besides, you usually have better things to worry about when directly facing an opponent, other than checking their strength.

Holding Tab shows you the exact same information, and you can check can compare it for all players at once. The only thing that's slightly inconvenient is the need to remember your opponent's nickname and then find it in the list. But I rarely feel the need to do that, or find it particularly cumbersome.

I press r/v a lot on flash, so I was just thinking that when we needed to move to Html5, maybe they should add that command, or at least make it an option in setting, because I prefer to look at the players and what they have when they're in front of you, instead of just remembering their nickname. You can press r and v while killing, but on Html5, you have to see the whole killboard, which could block your view.

HTML UI should be more compact. takes too much time to browse through different windows for everything, also the delay in navigation(window interchange) makes it really annoying.

Why doesn't tanki devs make the health bar at the bottom of the screen rather then the sides of the tank  in tanki online mobile.

I think putting it at the bottom make the game more immersive

This is a very small update I would like.

Can we add commas to all numbers when necessary?

It would make numbers easier to look at and faster to read.

Example: Which is actually better to look at?

999999999

or

999,999,999

(Hope you chose the second option. In the first option, we need to take extra time trying to put in the commas with our mind, and identifying the number.)

?

Quite insignificant, would be a bit tad more convenient to read the numbers but definitely not in the priority list.

Death Effect

It wold be cool if there was death effects when the tank explode like different colors the smoke is blue/red/white/green and others colors or  firework pops up or flowers explode stuff like that.
At least lets see something beautiful when we die or kill someone i think it wold be a cool feature ?

There should be a way to see all of the previous challenges. However, it would be different from the Wiki because here you can see the progress that you made for each individual Challenge.

unknown.png

A player would be able to access the past Challenges by clicking on the View Past Challenges button, which would lead the player to a scrollable list of all the Challenges (it could be all of them, or just the ones the player has gotten stars on, I'm not sure yet.).

A player would NOT be able to earn or buy stars for a Challenge that has already ended.

A player WOULD be able to buy a Battle Pass for a Challenge that has already ended, but the price for one would be higher (I'm thinking 1000 Tankoins instead of 500.)

I would like to add my own Idea that a lot of people might enjoy: As you know, the flash version of Tanki will be gone November 30th. We'll all have to move to html5 or quit the entire game. So what if there was an option to make everything in the html5 GUI look exactly the same as the flash version? It is possible, and it might actually save Tanki if implemented. Especially the camera movement. It doesn't feel as smooth as the flash camera. Sure you can't do 360s as easily but if you're in an actual MM battle, doing it would be a little pointless. But anyways, I feel that the devs should add a "flash experience" option in html5 before flash is gone for the many people who want to play like it's flash.

This means additional workload on this project. As a project management perspective, this is almost guarantee will be rejected because:

  1. It is a non-essential, non-urgent feature request.
  2. It is extremely hard to mimic the behavior of a particular framework/software using another framework/software.
  3. The idea of having both Flash and HTML5 client running at the sometime is to provide an adaptation period so that players will get use to the UI/UX on the new client. From my observation, the devs are trying to change (or in their book, modernize) the UX instead of copying that from the old client.

New textures

Good day tankers,
I'm writing in the forum because I think that we need new textures not only for turrets and hulls but also for maps. I've been playing tanki since 2012 and the textures aren't changed that much.
If you compare the ares texture with the viking one you'll immediately notice that the ares has a much higher resolution than the viking. Also the maps textures are very low-resolution and if tanki is a modern game it should have some more high-quality textures like  pubg. I hope that you will agree with me and that the tanki developers team will considerate tu improve the texture.

Reply this post if you want to say something more thank you

It's 2020 and this game looks like it is from 2002, I think we can get some better graphics by now.

And at any rate there are ways to improve graphical fidelity and performance at the same time.

If you really have an old rig maybe upgrade?  Sooner or later it won't be able to handle any new games.

Or there's always Battlezone and Space Wars... ?

Higher resolution textures and higher polygon models shouldn't be that demanding for lower end PCs, unlike things like dynamic lighting / shadows and shaders etc.

On my old laptop I used to get 60 FPS on the Flash version with everything in the graphics tab turned off apart from the skybox and mipmapping

Even they could make players choose between medium low and high but improving the high layer

somewhat true, added texture detail will only increase your RAM and VRAM usage, wont affect performance much unless your RAM is being used at more than 95%, if so you'll get heavy stutter

on my old 4gb pc it already maxes out on 88% so adding better textures would really not be any helpful

Of course but the majority of tankers which have at least 8gb ram will have a better game experience

There coulb be a setting to choose from 'classic' and 'new' graphics.
