Take help of your friends!

Parkour with a team.

Sure, that can be done.

However, in events like "Space Runner", where you're supposed to parkour across multiple buildings in Dusseldorf on your own, it's really difficult. The Event Helpers do help by making ramps with Dictator along the initial buildings, but after that, you nearly always fall to the ground.  :c

Hello all,

Your friendly neighborhood reporter here looking for some parkour clips, preferably unedited and of one trick, to analyze in future Crash Course: Parkour Physics articles and potentially be featured on the Newspaper as well as my webpage. If you have some clips of some cool tricks, please feel free to Forum PM me or send it to me on my Discord, random#1784.

Thanks!

Hi everyone,

My name is Lennard, most of you probably remember me. I was the leader of The Dutch Flyers and I had the position "parkour section curator" for a very long time. I left this game almost 1 year ago. Once I have spare time I check the forum. I check if there is any activity here. But no...

My question towards you for those who are still active in parkour: do you still have fun? And how do you think it will look like in 2 years?

I personally would like to go back in time... Back in time when parkour was on its highest point (2016-2018). I miss those days...

Let me know what you guys think.

Hey Lennard,

First of all, I'm glad to hear you're up to date with the game and especially the parkour, and yes, I remember you when I was just a small noob parkourist. And now to your questions, hmm I will not lie, the enjoyment of parkour has dropped significantly from recent years and especially now that there are the new physics of the HTML5 client but we're trying to have fun as much as we can. And now to your second question, In my opinion, if the game developers won't change the physics of the HTML5 so I'm afraid the parkour will not even exist in two years, but I believe that if they'll change the physics so that parkour can be done normally then I believe it will be possible to continue to enjoy from a good and creative parkour videos.

6.12. Video:

6.12.1. Videos must be in QHD @60FPS (1440p60 quality).

Very strange rule as for me, there is no sense in it.
Full HD was perfect for everyone.

This rule is there only if your club is willing to become an "official" parkour club (for official parkour clubs) of the EN community. Official parkour clubs are expected to produce the best videos, videos that other clubs cannot easily manage to produce and stand out from the rest. Every club could produce videos in 1080p60 but only highly developed clubs can produce videos in 1440p60, and an official parkour club should be able to do that. I think that helps in creating a very good distinction from the rest of the clubs. Moreover, almost all currently active clubs already produce videos in 1440p60. I hope I was able to answer your concern.

Lol i wanted to reply this but then accidently reported it...

I totally agree, The EN community is not even active in parkour, Parkour used to be so fun when there was so many parkour contest like Lift-off, Omp, MoP each or more month  etc.. But now since last PS there has not been any contest for parkour and none of the "Parkour Manager" Cares or doesn't talk about it to Marcus. I believe there should be some sort of small responsibilities of parkour manager to talk with Marcus and Parkour organizers to bring back the enjoyment of parkour but since you (Lennard and other parkour organizers) left the new parkour managers and parkour organizers are only caring about their other positions... (My opinion no warning point again please)

I honestly would love to see new parkour contests again, they always bring new energy and motivation to parkourists. I, being a Parkour Clubs Manager, already asked the CM about them but there is no knowing at the moment, which I believe is because of the shift from Flash to HTML5 (new physics, etc.).

Regarding the recent post in the Parkour Club Announcements topic, while I do think that parkour club paints are not necessarily rare anymore (as you see huge numbers of members in parkour clubs, especially with FeatherLike and Fly To High), I don't see a true issue with this. Parkour club paints weren't originally created to be something rare, they were created to show that an individual is a member of a renowned parkour club, and that they themselves must also be a good contributor to the success of that club However, over time, as with Helper paints too, parkour club paints have become something regarded as a "flex," where you are not considered a well-known person in the parkour realm, or even just the game in general, if you don't possess one of these exclusive paints. In a sense, exclusive paints within the game have become the XTs of pre-2018 (where people with XTs had to purchase them for a hefty sum of crystals), in that you're part of a sort of "group" if you are lucky enough to have a special paint (or many) in your garage.

It's unbelievable to see how many people are just finding ways of maximizing their chances at these special paints, and personally, if I'm being honest, special paints that you have to hold a specific position (whether it be being a part of a parkour club or specific Helper position) to receive should be done away with, as it only leads to ego-boosting, toxicity, and lack of meaning behind being a part of something specific and special in the game, from what I've personally seen.

With this being said, I highly doubt such special paints (as outlined above) will be removed, so there must be some tweaks. Currently, way too many players in this game (and I'm not just talking about just parkourists here) have special paints, that not one of them can be considered rare. I so frequently see special paints nowadays in battles, I pretty much count on there being at least one individual per battle having a special paint or special protection module.

It is very strange to see the questionnaire in the public domain. The fate of Phoenix and Aero was decided, but for some reason absolutely everyone participated. Who knows who voted there, maybe even people who are not associated with parkour at all. In addition, it is very easy to cheat if you want that there was a particular solution. This is wrong, I think, and in general, like many new rules in parkour clubs, such as that you need to editing at 1440p60 to get an official status, or have the right number of rating likes and dislikes, which is also very easy to cheat. ?

It will be, just "organizers" are waiting for a fix of physics, which may not be

Nope, we were told that it will not happen. There is no fix for the physics.

How was physics in space mode fixed then?

There is nothing to "fix" really, the physics in flash and HTML5 just work differently, and the developers said they cannot make the HTML5 physics the same as Flash.

They can and initially there was "normal" physics, but they corrected it because they wanted to get rid of cheaters, but in the end cheaters were in the game and are, but parkour and parkourists suffered.

To sum it up for you, Hazel said they won't do anything about the physics and they might stay like this forever.

Don't get me wrong, I hope something will be done about it, because I like MOP as well, but these are the facts.

Do you guys really believe that it is impossible to fix it? It isn't for sure, devs are just lazy and they have other 'important' things to do with more 'priority'.

It's just sad to see that a game company is only focusing on the game itself, and not listening to the community.
