This idea is about having a set of battle modes. It would definitely reduce queue times as compared to single mode queues. Best case is when players pick all possible modes, in which case it just becomes "quick battle". Worst case is picking just one mode. Anything in between should theoretically have low queue times, unless there's some complication in the existing implementation that I might be missing.

im sorry but i fail to see why you merged that topic into this one. now the entire conversation seems out of place. it doesn't make sense. it took me so long to find the original post. it could have easily been a new topic within "game discussion" if you didn't want it to remain in "ideas & suggestions". there _has_ to be a better way to go about this. and i vaguely remember suggesting that if mods are merging topics/posts, they should specify where the original thread is from. and if it's a topic, then the title should also be mentioned.

idk the exact reason behind having so many chat mods - from what i can see, they're including people from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds to avoid punishing unfairly. this can't be compared to battle moderation, it's a completely different skill set. the requirements are quite strict, and their intake is much lower because there's a lot of power that comes with the position. making mistakes in other positions does not have a major impact on the gaming experience for players, but mistakes in battle moderation can stop you from playing the game altogether.
