continuing on ...

@damn_slow: raffnix suggested to have 15 players registered who'll fight, and all the others to be unofficial member. Or example L7 - only 10 players got the paint, the others did not.

Being an unofficial member of a clan is akin to not being in it at all .

Regarding the gap in announcing news as such, there is no gap.

The thing is that the information about Top League tournament has nothing to do with our community as the Top League itself only consists of Russian clans. I have no idea why Germans posted it, just an unnecessary piece of information. Some guys have problems with reading walls of text, this way they can concentrate on what really matters.

Same thing with information about Streams, I skipped this bit on purpose as we plan to stream not only Top League battles. We will stream the most interesting battles no matter what league thay play in.

The thing is that if you don't find something mentioned in a EN topic when this bit exists in a RU one,  it means that texts are adapted for the needs of community

About being closer or further from servers, I think it's no secret that we are moving to European servers quite soon (January most likely), so the best ping will be in Europe. American players should notice an improvement as well.

Green = Fair enough :)

Blue =

This here is a great opportunity for a dev/technician of the concerned department to come and explain things to us in more details than just "new servers are coming + we are reducing traffic and working on a new client" .

What are the developments in progress, what stage they have reached, what problems are being encountered, what is the ETA , what is being done to smooth out the difference between those closer to servers and those farther,,, we want to know everything.

In fact at this point we the international community (and perhaps our german brothers) should be privileged on the news scoop here about the lags as we feel we are more affected by it than our russian brothers.

This is a question coming from people who play in clans and have cybersports aspirations, not just some random casual tankionline players.  So I do believe most people following this topic are technical and mature enough to understand a more thorough explanation on the issue of lags and what's being made to tackle/smooth it.

We the community would be very grateful to you if you could invite one of your colleagues working on the underlined part in the picture below to spare just a few minutes of his time to come explain things in more details for us.

Perhaps someone could make a topic talking about this matter specifically in the cybersports section where all team/clan members could have a say on the matter as they will be severely affected with a unified cybersport system.

White part =

Top League tournament has nothing to do with our community

Some guys have problems with reading walls of text

adapted for the needs of community

↑↑ With all due respect I don't think this is right ↑↑

I think we are underestimating English clans hugely if we talk like this. English clans have never, or 1/2 times, fought with Russian clans. We don't know how big the difference is between the clans. And I think before we start saying Russians are way better, and English won't have an oppurtunity to get in the Top League we need to have facts, results, something where on we can see who's better. We don't have these, so we need to make this sure first before we start underestimating English clans.

As joost says, we are clearly underestimating international clans here.

But not least important is the fact that you guys are trying to bring unification to the 3 communities when it comes to cybersports 2.0 and by doing so you can't have a double policy on who gets what information and who doesn't.  The Top League may at the moment consist only of russian clans but it does not mean the german or the international community are not interested in or worthy of knowing about it.  It does not mean that non-russian clans do not have any aspirations of being in there 1 day and competing.  Side-lining the international community and not sharing the same information with it will only make things worst and for the community to progress.

So I can understand that when it comes to the community in general various texts need to be adapted for the needs of community ,,but when it comes to cybersports and clans, I don't think there needs be any special adaptations or short-cuttings and with all due respect I do not think cybersport involved people, i.e. clan members are afraid of or have problems with reading walls of text .

Well, yeah, that was a huge wall to read, damn_slow :p

Let me get into 'being an unofficial member'. I'll take as example Noob Army as I know that clan very well of course. Noon army played in lucky 7, and 10 of us have the paint. But, noob army has more than 10 members. Where were these guys? Were they necessary in the Lucky 7? (Yes, we used them few times as the rules of lucky 7 allowed it, but that's lucky 6 in particular. We need to think about those Russian tournaments.) no. We did not need them in that tournament. They can be in our chats, and train with us, so they could fill up a spot if someone leaves, but in fact these guys are your substitute substitutes. They replace 1 of the 15 if necessary. It doesn't have to be an emergency as you have 15 (only 6 of those will play). You can swap from unofficial to official in the transfer period. In fact you cut the most inactive members off the registering till you have 15 left. There is no difference actually, and I think the Russians have a legit reason to make that rule. I hope you get what I am trying to say. :)

We don't have these, so we need to make this sure first before we start underestimating English clans.

Example: Noob Army - These guys won the Lucky 7 (English only) by far. Even the final ended with a 5-1, not a 2-1 or a 1-0. A difference of 4 captures. These guys can compete Russians I think. They won't win the first times the top clans, but I think they make a good oppurtunity between the Russians as they are the best English clan by far. (From an objective view, not saying because I am a member of that clan. I think people can confirm what I just said).

We battle every day in the servers with Russian players, many of them are Russian clan members and often they join battles in groups just like we do. We are very strong players as well and can easily dominate in battles, I'm sure there are thousands of pics of battles where our community players have defeated Russians in open games, I have played in many such games in the past, playing against them sometimes and alongside them as well, if you play after 04:00-16:00 utc you will definitely encounter Russian clan players in battles.

They are no different from us. They have just had more opportunities to compete than we have.

On some way I agree with you, but I need to have said that playing in random battles is different from facing them on a clan war. Clan wars are more about tactics etc.

Oh, there most certainly are some major differences, and it comes down to comunication and wise tactics, but the skills are here. The biggest hurdle is the one of time zones, as our community spans the globe, putting those players together is a much more challenging job. Your Clan certainly showed that our community has the ability to achieve those qualities.

Well, yes, NA has players with only 1 up to 2 hours difference from each other. That works great, and we could fight Russians. If we play half past 6 my time it's half past 9 in perm. So, it is possible but hard to get guys together in this international community.

Dear players,

After a long discussion and analysis of your feedback, it was decided not to join all 3 communities in the same leagues.
Instead of that, there will be separate 4 leagues in each community.
2 or 4 times a year we will hold a major tournament in each league where clans from all 3 communities will fight together.

Information for current clans:
The Winter Qualifying Tournament will start next week. According to results shown in it, EN clans will be divided into Top League and League 2.
Moreover, best 16 clans from all 3 communities according to the results of the tournament will take part in Clan Championship 8.

Once the tournament is over, new forum section will be created. Clans will be moved to Top League and League 2. Teams will go to League 3 and League 4, depending on their ranks and equipment in garages.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Semyon for presenting our feedback to the staff that are making the decisions in Perm regarding CyberSport tournaments.

I would like to thank the members of all the clans for their input to build a solid tournament program in our community, and also for supporting my views in this discussion.

I know everyone would like to have a unified CyberSport and it will most likely come in the future, but for now this is an excellent opportunity to create a solid Clan Tournament system in our own community, and send our best clans to quarterly or semi-annually International Tanki CyberSport Tournaments.

The biggest issue this community faces is the issue of time zones. It is imperative to come up with a schedule that will allow players from different parts of the world an opportunity to participate in CyberSport.

This means Saturdays would be a great day for a full day marathons and flexible week day battles. Without a solid calendar of event times it is impossible to assemble a squad when we don’t know what times the battles can take place, 17:00 GMT only works for a fraction of eligible players in our community; this excludes many players who would like to participate.

Please add your thoughts as to any possible solutions to this problem.

I would also like some clarification regarding Clan size, and squad creation and the details regarding adding and removing players from the squad.

Hey, I have an idea. We could share ideas and make a tournament together (reward will be shared, if they consider it well done)

Not so sure about that, M1's most likely don't play wars, and they can never compete with higher leagues (as it will take years before they can move to league 2)

Srsly? I got my last m1 like a month ago and now I'm getting my first m3, it doesn't take years
