Badges: Mini Ranks

I was thinking of something that would give you other goals beside ranking up.  What if you could earn badges for different things that you accomplish.  For example you could earn a badge called Medic that you earn when you healed 10,000 tanks  This could let you have early access to a certain isda protecting paint or give you a bunch of crystals or it could give your isda a little extra healing power.  Different badges would be harder to earn than others of course.  This would allow other interesting things to work for.  Or you could have one called Double Kill Master (i know that's a lame name) and you need 10,000 kills with one shot (this is only possible with certain guns like railgun and thunder).  This could give you more penetrating power for the railgun or crystals or a access to an M2 version of these guns early.  I don't know if the examples are possible for tanki to track, so they could come up with different easier to track ones if they don't work.  What do you guys think?  Is this idea possible?

Those are nice ideas, but I've two points to tell you:
- achievements and "missions" are already planned for the future, but your ideas of gun-specific missions are nice
- making 200'000 kills means making 2'000'000 points since every kill is 10 point, so with those values your missions are kind of impossible/long to be completed, if they will be implemented they will be set over lower values I think

Very true. 10,000 kills is more realistic.  I guess I didn't calculate how many points it would take.  I'll edit the post to make it 10,000 kills which is 100,000 xp points.

Sort of, will be more active from now on, but still not coming back to work yet :D

 

Back on topic, we just need to wait what will come from the Devs about the "achievements and missions system" that they are already developping.

I think the idea of such achievements/goals is a very strong one, in that it will provide even more incentives for players to play more regularly.

 

Sort of, will be more active from now on, but still not coming back to work yet :D

Actually, you should just get crystals, OR, with the badge, you can get discounts, for example, if you heal 10k hp of teammates, you get a medic badge, the next modifications of isida then get a small discount on them, and the healing and percentage of healing MU is discounted too, badges also add up

Why don't devs play check out other games and see their achievements and implement some good features... I know this idea from a another game :lol:

Yes ws going to say about achievements but you told it so just quoted it. But is the achievement really planned

You're back :) Where have you been?

Example:

- Healing mission: Heal 10'000 tanks (0 / 10'000)

The Game system will give you an "healed tank" after you heal an amount of 5 points. I mean that, when isida heals someone, it can earn a certain amount of points depending on how much health it restored, so every 5 points acquired by the player he will receive "one healed tank" in his mission counter.

 

Isida heals player A and earn 3 points

Isida heals player B and earn 6 points

Healing mission: Heal 10'000 tanks (1 / 10'000)

 

Isida heals player C and earn 6 points

Healing mission: Heal 10'000 tanks (3 / 10'000)

 

This means that after collecting 50'000 points you will have acquired 10'000 healed tanks on your mission counter. It sounds better than just summing up healing points, doesn't it?

Freezing would be hard to be detected since it deals damage but it doesn't give points except if you kill the player (or if you play a TDM).. For firebird it's different since you deal damage and also afterburn, but still earn point only with a kill (or some points in TDM)..

 

In this two cases there might be an easier way to make missions:

- play X amount of battle with freeze / firebird

- in a TDM, score X amount of points using freeze / firebird

- in other type of battles, make X amount of kills with freeze / firebird
