Because as you see this is a contest.. Totally  do you know what is contest? <_<

That doesn't make sense - with contests, it is not obligatory for you to get a reward for being a participant. The fact that you ask alone shows so much desperation.

^Unfortunately, in the real world, not everyone can win. You can take the positives from having entered this contest in the first place (e.g. you'd have improved your poetry-writing skills), and you can even take positives from from your loss. Coming back from defeat to try and try again until you win is a true test of skill and potential. I didn't win the first newspaper poetry contest I entered, for example. I wasn't even expecting to win this one, I just enjoyed taking part.

you dont win everything you didnt win 15 seconds of fame archangel did

Yes, I know that... He's probably just referring to the fact that I won the last poetry contest the newspaper held, too, so I decided a little celebration would be in order ^_^

Thanks!

I'm glad and my Gf was also!
Congrats to others who won a prize, expecially to the winner, i particularly liked GoldRock's poem and i think it deserved to win.

I dedicate the prize to one of my school's english teachers and his unfair bad marks.
And also to all those students who have the misfortune of finding a frustrated teacher whose aim is to blame students for their flaws, rather than filling their gaps.

Thanks, and congrats to you too :P And I know the feeling in terms of teachers who are destructive rather than constructive... It's all about just taking the negatives about having such a teacher and turning them into positives.

With over 25 pages of entries, the Romantic Poetry Contest was one of our most popular contests ever! So popular, in fact, that we decided to double the original prizes! It was a thrill to read all the entries, and while it certainly took a lot of time and deliberation, the reporter team has decided on the best poems based on the criteria - rhythm and rhyme, vocabulary, humour, and originality (unfortunately there were several disqualifications for plagiarism).

The winner of the Romantic Poetry Contest and 50,000 crystals, congratulations to:

@GoldRock

The winning poem:

A reflection in a misty window,

Of an elusive glance, a fleeting search,
A volatile moment held in limbo,
With nothing but emotional worth,

A whisper, hidden amongst a chime,
Of feminine laughter, high and sweet,
Could plant a seed which over time,
Grows into something less discreet,

A small smile on a face disguised,
Of inner emotions, churning with doubt,
Reveals a feeling realised,
As one which can't be lived without,

Whether fleeting or pure or covertly demure,
It comes and goes, yet is always here,
Is life about love and nothing more,
Or is love within life not so clear?

I need no protection or camouflage,
To guard my love for you.
Against infernos, needles, tigers, or gods,
It will stand ever firm for you.

I need no drug to save my heart,
From falling, love struck, for you.
If even it was just half as much,
I hope you love me too.
  :P  :)
