The past power levelling wasn't due to Isida. It was due to poor game balance and performance. Now, this does not happen anymore. One of the reasons why the matchmaking was introduced to Tanki Online was to eliminate sabotage and power levelling.

How to power level with Isida.

• Create a 1v1 pro battle

• Put two of your accounts in. One using Isida, and the other using Thunder/Ricochet/Hammer/Vulcan/Magnum/Gauss

• Self-damage yourself

• Heal with the Isida

• Profit

I have seen some players do that, but not many did. I know that this is power levelling, but this was not exploited much.

Don't worry. There is no power levelling with Isida or any other turret anymore.

Isida no longer receives experience for healing self-damage.

I am aware. I was just saying that this is how someone could power level with Isida.

As I have it at M4, I think now is a good time to finally break free of the 50% reduced-damage chains and go back to Stock Isida for a bit. Haven't played a damaging Isida in so long, was only accustomed to spending my entire energy supply and then some just to kill a light or medium hull.

I'm still trying for the Support Nanobots Isida Challenge though.

So, if isida has better damage than fire and freeze, and can heal, why dont we see more of them. Ive considered swapping freezing power for more damage, while isida starts with that ability

No "special attack" via stock or alterations

Can only damage 1 opponent at a time

runs out of energy fairly quickly

Often first target in a group (because it can keep the flag bearer alive)

and they also kept nerfing the scoring on it with healing - was not worth using if you had mission that requires you to be in upper half of team

Also:

Shortest range in the game

You have to be directly facing your enemy/ally, and it's easy to lose your "grip"

Alterations are all meh in my opinion

Fire and freeze are easier to attack with since you can strafe quite well with them. It takes skill to the same with isida (and to be fair, you probably need broadband alt to do it)

Couldn't agree more. I would never even dare to use Isida without broadband radiators, it's aim is worst in the game.

There aren't many isidas in my range anymore because everybody's using hulls that can actually deal damage. It's definitely beneficial to have on a team (healing - obviously), but... no one plays it anymore.

I agree.

I have an m4 - used to be my most-used turret.  barely use it anymore - mostly because of the Overdrives.  Outside of Hunter OD, They really don't mesh well with Isida.

One exception is Pro-Battles (no-supply) where you see a ton of Dictator-Isidas co-operating together to slaughter opponent.

Id like to try dicktater isida to be the ultimate team player. Good suggestion.

Going back to power leveling, wouldnt that hurt your account since you rank up but dont gain crystals, therefore having fewer resources to purchase equipment.

It is nice to see isidas...will have m3 soon enough

"power-leveling"... you mean playing pro-battles?

Mostly on this account, which at this point, does not matter as I no longer worry about ranking up.  Just get that 40k faster without worrying about supplies.

Sorry, I misphrased that. I'm saying the concept of powerleveling seems bad since in the levels where it matters, you just cost yourself crystals compared to people who just played battles

I bought Nanomass Reactor in a past sale for the sake of completion. I saw that the DM modes for the New Year's Events would be great for it as many tanks huddle up for gold boxes and you can get killchains with it there. It has been fun, but certain things about it really suck the fun out of it and hurts its general usage.

Firstly, it's worse than Stock in 1 v 1 fights. It's expected. But when you realise that if your ping is not near 0, you'll have a hard time with moving targets as Isida. This results in valuable ticks of damage being lost. And you have 2 fewer seconds of ammo so every tick counts.

Then, comes the random occurence of my damage suddenly stopping. I get 3 ticks in on the enemy and then suddenly it stops. Which makes me waste almost my entire ammo bar. And when they turn around, I no longer can win the duel. It's like going behind someone to stab them, only to trip and accidentally throw the knife at their back, alerting them to your presence.

And lastly, with the increased energy consumption, it is very hard to get that LAAAAAST tick of damage in on that enemy before they do enough damage to kill you. I think I had to reload 2 seconds worth of ammo just for one tick. I've lost many duels because of the game's refusal to count the last tick because my ping is not near 0.

It was fun while it lasted. I'll be back to playing Support Nanobots after the event goes away.

I tried isida recently...is there a reason the score from healing is so low?

They've been tinkering with the (healing) scoring for quite some time.  At one point it wasn't worth playing Isida at all.  I think they lowered it because "it's too easy to get near top of battle-scoring" just by healing tanks.

The Devs never played with the hornet noobs I get saddled with - the one that won't stick around to get healed - but rush out and die before I can get one click of healing on them.

At one point was my most-playd turret.  But have barely played Isida since the mass of ODs was released.

Yeah it was really pointless using isida, especially when titans dome could heal many allies just as efficiently as isida could heal one.

See, this is what I dont get. Shouldnt a selfless turret be given an incentive so people are rewarded for helping others instead of just playing for themselves. Things like Isida and Dictator should be given good scores for taking care of others...especially now like you mentioned that titan's dome doesnt heal
